Post Re: WEDNESDAY WEEK 4 RACES 9PM
Hi Gray,

Have a question mate in regards to Cheltenham and if we are using the correct courses (Old and New) for specific races.

Looks like the Mackeson Chase was run on the wrong course. Should have been run on the old course not the new course.

This matter in terms of speed and stamina over these 2 courses and can play a big part in a horses performance traits. Could be a idea to put which courses are ran at Cheletenham with something like OC Hurdle 2 or NC Chase 1 in the race name description? I can edit the league schedule to accommodate this?

There is a stiff finish up the Cheltenham hill for both courses, although the stiffness of the overall finish varies. The old course is considered to be more of a speed test, whilst the new course is considered to place much more of an emphasis on stamina.

I believe the festivals first 2 days are run on the old course and the last 2 days on the new course. I could be wrong.

Below is a reference image to show the 2 different courses. This is for the race runners, i know it the CK you can choose between Hurdle and Hurdle 2 and same for the Chases.
