Will do the full steps as not sure which bit your on:

1 - export the horses from your game when at peak fitness using the 'e' on the horse data screen
2 - from the game opening menu go to create your own races
3 - then view and manage your exported horse list
4 - then for each horse you want to unload to the TOM press the blue button next to the horse name to export as a single horse file
5 - then open windows explorer after shutting your game down, browse documents, then the startersorders6 folder then exports then horses and you should see the files
6 - when uploading to the TOM use the browse feature to take you to the same location for each horse and fill in the rest of the details.

Make sure you check your lineage no same mother father combination allowed in a season.

Correct. When first entered your horses are not eligible for g1 races on either code. They also are not eligible for handicap races as they only have the default rating so cannot be properly weighted. You want maidens mostly though can enter g2 down etc.

you can throw straight into group 2 or 3 and listed company but be ware your horse maybe rated out of future handicaps
and if its your first go i would avoid that if you can
