Two jumps races at Cheltenham down it's time for a flat race. This time only one entry per person please.

The race will be run the weekend of the 6th Feb.

Update: There will now be two semi finals with the first x runners from each race going trough to the final.

Not 100% confirmed but I'll probably be entering Australia in this race too, unless there's something better I've forgotten about in my long forgotten flat game.

9f would be a little short for her, her best trip was 10f. But she'll race close to the pace and is very game. I'd hope she can get her head in front at some point in the race, doubt very much it'll be at the line though!!

She has 15 G1 wins from 18 runs in her career and has only finished 2nd once as a 2yo and runs from the front. Hopefully fares better than my 2 in the Cheltenham race

Are we to assume the track condition is Good?

I would suggest those entering horses to trial your exports at the track and distance to find your best runner at the track and distance. You'd be surprised to find that sometimes your great game horse regularly gets beat by a horse you thought was a lesser specimen.

We have a little time before the race so I just trialled my exports at the track and distance and found my best stallion and mare. I will do some quick breeding with these two to see if I can get something better out of them.

I have a horse going around at the moment that I might put up - just to see how far off the pace I am with my breeding.
I will have to look at some old posts on how to submit a horse.

BTW I've been to Sha Tin once - a nice track but nothing beats the atmosphere at Happy Valley

I specified just one entry per person to keep the field size down so I doubt the field size will become a problem. So there is no official limit. If it becomes a problem I'll think of something.

Perhaps have two races like a semi final and the better place getters (ie top six or seven from each race) go into a grand final race. Have a mini tournament over 2 weeks.
