I know those who play in the league probable play longer games (in terms of seasons anyway) than regular players. How far do you usually go? What is your longest game?

It is likely there will be some basic changes to how Starters Orders organises data in the future (especially relating to breeding) so it would be handy to know how long people may want to play each save for. Please post.

done well over 100 seasons in a game but drastically slows the game and saving after about 50 years so
always start a fresh game every 30 - 40 seasons or so

I'm on approx. 75 seasons at the moment - I enjoy the history I've created with my game and my breeding lines.
Personally I would like my game to go on as far as I can take it. 100+ seasons for sure....even 200 lol
But I guess that may be unreasonable.

I also know if I wasn't playing in the league I'd still be running with my one game - I still get a lot of enjoyment from it!

My main game that I still play is on around 40 seasons, and yes the saves are slow, though this seems to be as much about volume of horses in the barn and stable as it does anything else, have multiple breeding games with 100 in the barn and say 120 in the stable and they are about as slow as the main one.

I have 1 flat and 1 jumps game in progress. I'm in season 27 on the flat and 17 over jumps and will just play the 2 games until SO7 is released. Rather than start a new game, I would just clear out the breeding barn, sell most of my horses and buy fresh stock at auction. It's not as if I'm short of cash

If I wasn't taking part in the league I would be running 1 jumps game and would continue with that 1 game until SO7 is released.

Following on from this if you change the horse pool size what figure do you use?

i feel more comfortable using 8,000, if i want to dominate more i go to half that for fun

I Use 14000 on the Flat and 12000 on the Jumps Mark I don't play the combined has not enough Juvenile or Novice Hurdlers flat seems to take most of the horse pool.

I just play the stock standard game with no mods.

Same as Doug for me. Default schedule and no mods.

The Bigger the pool more horses in the game and more horses in other trainers Stables I have noticed in my game trainers have over 100 horses in stables here is my trainers Table see if you using the game pool size what amount of horses trainers have in your game see if its different.

Hmm how does one change this?

My game, which is also without mods and default everything the competition, even the godolphin version has around 20/30 horses, some less than 10.

If changed midgame what impact if any?

Placing 1-6 in the classics year in year out is a little tiresome, and it has to improve the gene pool for the league.
