Post Online league team setup
Was wondering about how is the best team setup for the online league!?
How many 2/3/4 yo horses? Older than 4 yo?
How many for each distance?
Best age for jump horses and which distances should be covered best. More softer ground horses?

Can't see the schedule, maybe after uploading 1 horse?

Thought about 4x 2yo, 8x 3yo, 8x 4yo for flat for example.

How does your team look like?

Looking forward to the start of the league!

Many trainers upload different groups Jalupen I think upload horses to tackle the big group races up to 1m 6f I don't think he's ever had a Ascot Gold Cup Runner or Winner 2m 4f
There is no 1m 2f 2yo until after week 5 so don't upload a 1m 2f 2yo until after week 5 and this gives you a extra slot for the first 5 weeks.

I have about 4 2yo's up to week 5 then I will add 2 more after week 5 a Miler and 1m 2f horse
I have 7 3yo's I don't have a Derby Horse or it would be 7 1 6fSprinter for the commonwealth Cup 2 Milers 1 Filly 1 Colt Covers the guineas races 1 1m 2f Horse which will run in the USA Triple Crown 1 1m 4f Horse for the Oaks 1 St Leger Horse and 1 2miler so that is 11 the rest are 4yo which will range from Sprinters to Ascot Gold Cup Stayers.

After Week 5 I will get rid of poor horses and its mostly 3yo's has all the Just 3YO group races end and you get 3UP races.

What about the NH team?

2 4yo horses for Juvenile Hurdles
the rest can be a mix from 5yo upwards I will have

1 NHF Horse
4 2mile Hurdlers ( 2 Novice Hurdlers included)
1 2m 2f Hurdler
3 2m 4f hurdlers ( 1 Novice Included 1 Mare For the Mares Race at the Cheltenham Festival)
1 2m 6f Hurdler
4 3m Hurdlers ( 1 Novice Hurdler Included )

So That's 15 the rest will be chasers

3 2mile Chaser ( 1 Novice Included )
1 2m 2f Chaser
3 2m 4f Chasers ( 1 Novice Chaser Included )
1 2m 6f Chaser
3 3m Chasers ( 1 Novice Chaser Included )
1 3m 3f Gold Cup Horse
1 3m 5f Chaser
1 4m chasers
1 Grand National Horse has the 4miler will also be sent to the National

That will be around that Most of my runners will be 5YO but you will find Chaser stayers will be older 6 or 7 but my national horses will be 9yo has it seems the older the horse the better it will stay.

Ok thanks again for the information! Very useful!

2 more questions:
Where do you trial your flat/NH horses. I think for flat it's Ascot, for NH I used Cheltenham, is this the right track?

Does the novice horses need a certain/best age? I think it's the question if you want to use the horse again next season, so better use the 6yo horse when you have a 7/8/9 yo version too!?

I Use Newmarket for the flat has its a long straight and one slight bend if your running 20 plus runners over 2miles at Ascot some horses will be running wide.
I also use Cheltenham to trial my jumpers except for the 4m 3f which I use Aintree.

I like to use courses where there is at least 2, preferably 3f to the first bend so I use several different tracks depending on distance. The main ones I use are:

Flat - Ascot, Newmarket, Doncaster, York. I also use Newbury, Haydock and Leicester.
Jumps - Cheltenham, Newbury, Kempton, Sandown, Ascot, Doncaster. I also use Aintree, Ayr, Newcastle, Taunton and Wetherby.

All my flat trials are run on straight tracks up to and including 10f.

For novices age doesn't matter. All you are doing by uploading a horse as a novice is restricting it to novice events and ordinary handicaps. Non novices can run in graded/group races, graded handicaps and ordinary handcaps but obviously not novice races.

Have my flat team together so far but have to say it's some work with trialing to filter the best horses for NH, not sure if I have enough horses which seem to be good enough to enter the track. But I hope to fill the full roster, it's right that I can upload more than 5 after week 5 when the spots were empty before!?

I'm not sure If I have enough time to play 3-4 seasons more so I started to trial my current exported horses.

Had a freak gamehorse (around 21/3/4) which finally was available for breeding and next season I will get 10 2yos from him, so I'm able to upload some horses later when proven they are good enough. Are all your NH horses minimum 5 yo (beside the juveniles)?

I'm right now at work and can't take a loo, trying to explain a new player which files to upload, which horse files from which location do we have to upload? Isn't it the ttf-files. Can't look right now, but how do they look? horsename.ttf or horsename_age.ttf?

When you export your horses the horse files will be in your Documents in your StartersOrders6 Folder then in exports folder and horses folder all your exported horses will be in the horses folder.
