Was tempted to run my big grey against him, it would be a hell of a race. :D

It would but think you would pull away in final few furlongs
he always seems to get going late on so hope he can see it out
will be one heck of a performance if he does it id say he has a chance
but cant be confident i should run a trial against Her Green eyes over 2m4
she has solid form and least id no for sure but that would be spoiling things
il take the chance

I wont spoil it, Loving Around was never going to run at Aintree she's coming back next season unlike her dad New Halen who fell of a cliff at 6 she's seems to keep her form. I was thinking about the King George over 3 miles for her next season but I'll have to see how she runs before. Is Mack coming back next season???

Good Luck with Mack it will take a hell of a effort to win over the wrong distance. :D

Half Term Report

Image
upload image on internet

Flat Team
Doing far better than thought delighted with how things are going
can't believe i still have some unbeaten horses. South Carolina has
to be the highlight so far adore her running style Iron Lady.

National Hunt Team
Not in the same league as the flat team but they continue to battle
away and hopefully most of them will bag a win before the end of the
season.

Trialing has got beyond a joke example below

Editorial a new leger horse scores 35 pts in new leger trials beats all my horses from past 3 seasons
i bring the next new batch in and she does not even score a point and all the old horses dominate nothing
new gets high in points so where on earth do you stand its beyond frustrating.

You posting this now is spooky.

Ive been trialing away and the results have been pretty much as expected, until today.
I did some good pairing and got some nice results which produced 2 horse that were a big improvement on all my others stats wise.
Trialed the first mare and she kicked butt, with and without pacemaker. Yay!
Next season popped out the horse below, who was fractional better in confidence and enthusiasm but essentially the same as my new mare. Yay again!

Throw them into the trials and they finish last and second last no matter what i do.
The stallion does the strangest things, like blasting through the field like they are standing still, then falls to the back only run back to the front and then drop off again. :?
I tried restarting the game but its made no difference.
So i share your pain.
I so wanted to breed from these but i'm not too sure now.

i have proved the bars are virtually meaningless

my new horses with the jazzy bars are not as good no where near in fact as last seasons horses

its the hidden stuff i guess which makes the difference id go completely with what performs well in trials and
ignore the bars

I'm sure your'e right.
I think the hidden stuff must include a "nut case" attribute because ive not had a horse that behaved like this one did.

Didn't Scatters say that there is a hidden stat or the like?

Still better to have those bars than not have them.

I see all the bars more like the exterior of a horse, like when you would go to an auction and see this nice looking, nice walking powerful horse, offspring from a top stallion and mare.
The speed, stamina etc bars are what you would see from your daily training.
What we have to find is the top interior of these horses. So many horses are genetically perfect but just don't perform on the track. Not every Galileo/Frankel will be a top performer.
We just have to find the one wonder horse of all our Galileos/Frankels.
Just bred me through all jump distances and I don't have problems when trialing. The best stay the best.
Paul maybe you have peaked with all your horses so much after so much generations that your horses all so equal that there isn't enough difference for a clear trial result cuase every of your horses is able to win.
I'm too sure there is a hidden racing abilty bar, but without this hidden ability I'm sure you wouldn't still play SO! Maybe it's just time for SO7.

Btw is there a plan when the next league season should start?
