Re: Dual Code Championship 2017
I think with James Harrison not here, Thunderspark playing intermittently and Jim Murray having taken a break then Paul and John are bound to pick up more wins this year as their main competitors aren't competing. Having said that David Robertson, James Shea and Josh Sutherland are picking up plenty and closing the gap. I firmly believe there is a glass ceiling to the improvement of horses and that John and Paul have all but hit it which will allow the second wave to catch up. Has John got many better than Za Approval or Present Abbey ? Has Paul got a Mack The Knife ? I don't think so. From the races I have seen I think Leon has the best NH horse. I predict next season there will be 5 or 6 competing at the top level and it will be much closer. At least three or four trainers are only a step away from the top level. In the meantime who cares about the Intergalactic Super League anyway. The real action is down in CHAMPIONSHIP DIV 1 where the real battle is being fought. Stu, Moliets and me on 11 with Daniel on 9 and Darren on 6. That's competition for ya !!

Very few in my current team would make it against my last two batches at trail, though my sprinters and milers are still about the same and my 3yo's still too short on potential. I am also expecting to down tools on major breeding programs now Elite Dangerous has hit the PS4, have already deleted all but one of my games.

Re: Dual Code Championship 2017
with the flat team I honestly think I have got as far as i can go with mine they will be at the same level as this season's maybe a half length better at some distances.
On The NH side i think the mistake i made was walking away from specialist jumps breeding trialing flat cast offs instead of breeding to horses like Mack the Knife these flat cast offs were better in the CK than him but in terms of the league nowhere near as good unless everyone has just caught up in ' fact gone past me.
I plan to go back to breeding jumps horses again no guarantees i will be successful though.
I already have a flat team of 22 ready for next season as I say at the same level as this seasons hence it was very quick and easy to put together but on the national hunt side i have nothing done and need to make a start
Im looking forward to the challenge of SO7 its like a re boot for everyone

Im looking forward to the challenge of SO7 its like a re boot for everyone I 100% agree, my flat horses have almost reached 100% and i'll just breed a little and put them in. I did something similar to u in that I started to breed my jumpers with my flat horses and I've never had so many fallers. I've bred a load of hurdlers/chasers over the last two weeks because over the next 6-8 weeks im not really going to get the chance to breed anything but if they are the ones to represent me next season then so be it. Now who said they quitting I'm like u Paul I cant wait to reset for SO7. I might be at/near the top of the standings but i've made plenty of mistakes along the way and its only now that im using/breeding horses that I bred at the start of 2016 because I didn't think they were that good when I breed them but I've realised they can help me. Who knows what the breeding be like on the new game and we might need to go back to the beginning again. Even after playing the game for 5 years u still learning about new things.

Re: Dual Code Championship 2017
I don't really take notice of wins. Its all about prize money for me and the big races so will forsake clear win chances to compete at the top level. This is reflected in NH as I am leading the log by stakes but am not even in the first 3 in wins. Stakes is probably a better reflection where things are and its much more even in the trainer logs based on stakes. (NH that is Flat Paul is way ahead and well deserves it after the time and effort he has put in. )
I can only get about 10 seasons in between leagues but am at a level now where they should be enough for next season
