Quote: Poor week with odd runs...all my 1m and down seemed to be pacemakers. That's very odd. I'm pretty sure I only put in 4 front runners. Hmm so they all run a little like Frankel........... Sorry could not resist.

As one of the race callers my observations over the past few seasons is you have quite a few pacemakers or horses up on the pace - I think that 'gene' might run deeper in your breeding than you realise.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Anyho, no time for a final day write up, after for a wee spot of fishing. 3 wins though rounded out the week, two over the sticks and I got a real ‘shock to the system’ in winning the World Cup in Dubai.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Didn't bother breeding between seasons this time, besides a couple of 1m2 horses, so everything in the league this season is a cast off really and didn't make my team last season. That said, some very competitive runs and pleased with winning a 1m1 race on the bridle. My only winner. 1m1 will definitely be my distance this year
Will be interesting to watch Antioch Gold Digger, very close up 4th in the Godolphin Mile, this was after missing the break an running very wide the whole way. This horse has been in my trials from virtually the start, it's very early on in my breeding an a lot of last years crop came from it, thought I'd just throw it in to see how it went, looks reasonable to be fair

Re: Weekly Reaction
It's a funny game. I only ran in 3 races on day one but my horses "Hot Pursuit", "Colossus" and "Jupiter" that all won in the maidens ran like donkeys. Hoping for better luck for the rest of the week.
Edit: Noticed both Hot Pursuit and Colossus "Stayed on same pace" so there is still some hope.

Re: Weekly Reaction
4 winners today 1 on the flat and 3 over the sticks
Fire Fly My first group race winner of the season on the flat she won the Nell Gwyn I thought the trip might be too short for her onto the Guineas next.
Kaye Burley Made it 2 from 2 and just got up to win on the line in the mares listed race
Traditionalist Broke his duck well in the 2m4 maiden hurdle had to be strong to fight them off
Part Of The Plan Rated 94 after finishing 11th in the Galway Plate think that will be his last handicap race
Must make an apology I was away for the weekend and rushed my entries before i left Friday morning my Oaks filly Daddys Lil Girl ended up being entered in the wrong race but worry not she wont be entering handicaps
Huge thanks to the team appreciate the hard work and effort you all put in Many Thanks to the commentators well done to the winners and placers

Re: Weekly Reaction
Decent enough start to the week for me with three wins, two over flat one on the jumps.
The stage is set - repayed my faith in her after the exhibitions to snatch my only jump win of the day.
Rocket man - surprise 3yo winner of the 2000 trial, creates a little excitement for the main event to come
Holding Folding - profited as the top 1.2m horses were chasing group races, decent win regardless.

Re: Weekly Reaction
Decent enough day 2 with 4 wins two off each code, could have been a few more but for some short noses and crappy racekit jockeys...... Alarmingly my jumpers are misfiring right now and my flat team are looking better and better, shows what I know

Re: Weekly Reaction
My plummet back to earth after week 1 continues, only slightly slowed by my first and only win this week in R21. If it wasnt for bad luck i would have no luck at all! Thanks to all those that put in the effort to make the League happen.

Paul, are you mistaken about your horse Land Lady's distance preference? The kit shows her as a 1m3f horse and you have entered her in a 6f and 7f race to start her season. Seems kind of odd. I'm not sure how to rate her when considering the usual high quality of your horses. Protocol looks to be the same thing also.

But these are both 2 Year olds who are 7 furlong horses they struggle to get a mile as 3YO they might have got 1m2 to 1m3 but you cant go by they when looking at 2YO's

Re: Weekly Reaction
5 Winners today 2 on the flat and 3 more over the sticks
Stormin Norman Made it 2 from 2 and becomes my first G1 winner of the season just getting up in the Australian Cup (Hit Lucky with the draw) Prix Du Jockey Club is his target.
Godfather Just got in the nursery and thought he had no chance off top weight but ponced late to get up. Coventry Stakes his target.
Trickshot Trev Grand National No.2 bolted up on debut. He will get a high mark after that but at least I can have a bit of fun with him now.
Hiedelssohn Ran well in week 1 got off the mark this week in listed company winning the Wensleydale Bank chase.
Invictus Maxamus My Bumper No.1 was hugely impressive on hurdling debut he flew home plans might have to change for him.
Amazing start for my jumpers 14 of the 30 already race winners
Huge thanks to the team appreciate the hard work and effort you all put in Many Thanks to the commentators well done to the winners and placers
