Just having a short break - we always end up gas-bagging, so Martin has heaps of editing to do which takes ages and I usually don't get to bed til 2am because of time zones. So for the Royal Ascot shows (for example) - it was 3 nights in a row where I didn't crash til 2am.

Doug

Good to hear Doug look forward to future shows

Fantastic second day for me. My first ever placing in a G1, a second with Digression in the King George Chase. I am so happy with that. A big day for me.

Total Smart added to the day with a win in the Lincolnshire National. I never thought I would get all these results in the hunt. But I am not complaining.

Some other horses in the money made it a fine day.

Well done all winners and placers. Race running and comms are absolutely top notch! Well done and thank you.

4 winners today and the pleasing thing is 3 of them were new uploads after week 5.

Flat

2 winners over the flat today.

Pepper Lane Girl has found her niche in the mid-level handicaps. She did win a 7f G2 race today, but it had an upper limit of 110, so the better horses were not running.

Silver Jester won the 2yo Sandown Mile Listed race. My 2yo horses have been poor this seson, so I was quite surprised he did so well. He did OK in my home trials over turf, but was uploaded after week 5 to run the Breeders Cup dirt races at the end of the season.

Jumps

2 winners over fences today. A 2m G1 chase and a 2m 4f G2 Chase. My chasers have been poor so far this season, but these horses were 2 new uploads after week 5.

Misty Loch Girl won the 2m Novices chase and was impressive in her maiden run. I uploaded 2 new 2m chasers after week 5, a novice and an open horse. Unfortuneately the open horse, Imperial Mist, had been appalling in his first two runs. Maybe I should have uploaded them the other way round, but you can never tell how a horse will run in the league. At my home trials, the open horse, Imperial Mist, was the better of the two horses.

Ramsden House won the 2m 4f G1 Punchestown Chase just getting up to beat a very good horse of Josh's.

Congrats to all the winners and placers.

Jim

3 hunt wins so far, load of sodding seconds and a flat team that cannot buy a win add a sprinkle of exasperation with the continued randomness of the race kit and stir in a descending level of interest..........

Howdy

Well the nostril extension implants paid off with Cold Heart somehow grabbing a 2nd amongst a pack fast finishers.
I'm very happy to be on the scoreboard. :D
Rest of my stable are still finding their rating so hopefully there will be some good results yet to come.

Cheers to the other trainers and especially those that make this all possible.
Shoutout to Doug on his race call, yes i was stoked mate!

No worries :-)

You'll pick up a winner in the hcps - they start levelling out now as the better horses move up.
Think you'll find your/our horses run better on flat decks and on the Aussie tracks when they come up - so keep an eye out for Aussie, Asian, American and South African hcp races.

One win on the flat and a couple of placings otherwise another disastrous week.

3 wins on the jumps side! To say I am happy with my jumps team is an understatement. I literally played zero jumps games since the last season and scraped together this team the night before the season starting upload deadline. They are all flat castoffs.

Well as last week the winners enclosure is one step too far for my horses :-(

Two 2nd places in Grade 1's in the hunt surprised me with hurdlers "Dougs Plastic Paradise" over the 2.4F and "Dansili Red" (form reads 0222) over 3M they look like they could challenge over some of the festivals to come at Chelts (where they are all trialled) and Aintree etc. and another 3 finishing 3rd.

The flat was more disappointing than Hitlers invasion of Russia  but "King George" looks like it will challenge around the 1.6 mark for honours as was challenging the top boys including some well touted horses as "Boo-keeper" (hahaha Tim)

Paul I think you have me in the wrong group in the DCC, I am sure, I am still a rookie.

Well done to all who take part and the team who makes it happen and I look forward to my 2nd's next week.
