I agree very much.
I was intending to add a novice tips section to the "How to join the League" with links to posts i found useful as well as some info about what to expect, like being thrashed in the first two weeks of the maidens.
There is a learning curve for the League, especially if you dont have much knowledge of horse racing like me.
If you want to add info to my post let me know otherwise a new sticky is a great idea.

After last season Doug, Stu and I were going to do a review show thing based on tips, how to etc which we were going to put out on youtube to hopefully get a few new people interested. Sadly we never got to do it as I was unavailable but i am sure we could do something this time and use screenshots etc if any of you put anything together. Jim - I seriously doubt anyone would ridicule anything you did (apart from Hollywoods hideous silks !! ). You were a great help to me when I started. Even sending me a bunch of your horses to trial against so I could see how I was doing. With regard to TTF files the only objections I have to it is the fact that horses never die and you just import a new version of it as and when you need to. TTF from one game to another is perfectly sensible its the time travelling and multiple versions of the same horse element i don't like. That's all !
