While it is really quiet here right now I thought I post my trials chart, maybe it is useful for someone.

I do 5 races over every ground, winner 5 points, 2nd 3 points, 3rd 2 points, but it's up to you how to manage it. After 30 trial races you should know which are your best horses.

wow alot of work i trial on

FLAT - Good
NH - Good to Soft

5 trials per distance no more than 16 runners per trial
1st 8 2nd 6 3rd 4 4th 3 5th 2 6th 1 2 pts bonus points per trial top 6 finish
so if a horse finishes in top 6 of all trials he/she get 10 bonus pts
I do this in order to find most consistent horse

Whow, 30 trials per horse.

I give each horse 5 trial races then I quit SO6 and load SO6 up again and give each horse a further 5 trial races. NH on good to soft and flat on good to firm. I often find that starting SO6 again I get different race results due to the inconsistancy of the CK.

I take the best 2 stallions and breed them with the best 8 mares and keep them in the breeding barn for a maximum of 5 years or until I have bred about 20 - 24 horses that have been exported to the CK. Roughly 50\50 stallions to mares.

I then trial horses after I have bred each new generation of horses. I run about 12 - 14 horses in a trial keeping the mares in one race and the stallions in the other race. Depending on the race type\distance I have a pacemaker and the best two horses from the previous trial in a race plus the new horses.

The best horses from each trial race are used in the next breeding cycle.

It is only when choosing which horses to upload to the league that I run the best stallions against the best mares from the latest generation of horses using the method described above.

This way I only have a few horses to trial when it comes time to chose league horses.

This works best for me since I have separate saved games for sprinters, milers, middle distance and long distance on the flat and 2 milers, 2m 4f, 3 milers and 4 milers in the NH.
