To Gray or Leon I am trying to upload my horse - A Lil' Miss Chief - but TOM say there is illegal characters in it's name and wont upload. Also - Son O' Sandtail - wont upload for same reason. What to do? Doug |

You cannot use ‘ or indeed any characters in horse names. Leon is the only answer. Or if you have them import the unraced 2yo and rename. |

Also my horse Greylami Mossachi - it says it has already been uploaded - is there anyway to check if I have used the name before - it appears I didn't use it last season and I doubt I would have had that breeding cross any further back than last season. Doug |

Doug Doug only Leon can help with the ' in the horses name you can check by going in to logs and Trainers Name then go back through previous Years I will have a quick look for you. Gray |

Doug its the apostrophe mark ! I had odd horses like "Doctor's XXXX" but if you just remove the mark by renaming the horse file in xxxx/Documents/S06/exports/horses and save, then you can upload. |

There can't be any apostrophe's in a horse name. The SO race kit generates some text files that we use to run the league and they get corrupted if horses have aprostophes in them Greylami Mossachi was a year old last season. I can changge some things manually to allow horses in but they need to be names from previous SO versions |
