I wondered if anyone had time to look at this for me.

I have been playing the Aussie version of the game and I decided to trial my best 2yo Milers. Normally I load up a saved UK verison of the game to get the CK to show the UK tracks first when doing this I recorded the following times:

Doncaster Good 1.43.5
Ascot (UK) Good 1.48.3
Belmont Park Standard 1.44.2
Rosehill (UK) Good to Firm 1.45.0
Churchill Downs Good to Soft 1.44.5
Churchill Downs Standard 1.45.2

However if I leave the last saved game as the Aussie verison and run the same races I recorded the following times

1.38.9
1.45.6
1.41.7
1.39.4
1.40.2
1.42.4

A remarkable improvement which would place these horses at the front of the league races in the first SOPL Intl league.

I not sure why there is such a difference but my simple question is do I have some decent horses based on the Aussie times or when I upload to the league will the horses run the first set of times and therefore leave me lagging in the league.

Would appreciate any advice as my time is limited and I would rather spend it trialing on a realistic level.

What category are you running your trials under Maidens or G1.

Weights will be different and I'm just wondering if you ran some of the trials under maiden weights without noticing.

Thanks for the reply I was running them under G1 to match the league conditions as much as I could.

I have re-run them just in case I had made an error with the class of race and the same thing keeps happening.

Guess I will just have to go with one way of doing it and see what happens in the league.

Very strange the CK should do this though.

This would be the same for everyone so unless horses are performing differently then I wouldn't worry about it.

Times are also slowed in the league to make the differences between horses more apparent.

Does anyone have a set of times that they use to know if they have a horse good enough to run in the league.

i.e
Newmarket, G1, 3yo, 1m
Soft 1.37:5
Good 1.35:2
G/F 1.33:1

I know some of the top players may want to keep this information to themselves but I'm sure if any up and coming young trainer asked O'Brien or Sir Michael Stoute for advise I'm sure they would be more than happy to help.

Times are not as important as you might think. If you run a pacemaker in trials then obviously you will get a good time. There are no pacemakers in the league.

There are plenty of pacemakers in the league, you should hear the moaning every time someones horse makes the running when it should have been held up . Also there are usually one or two horses that are running a furlong or two above their ideal distance and this can add pace to the race. If it's a fast race then you need a horse that can run a fast time, if it's a slow race then anything can happen.

At best you'll get someone forcing the pace, which tbh is good enough but no pacemakers which are faster still.
