Re: Trials Day2
I posted about the ck crashing all the time on the league thread. Its really annoying some days are better than others but there are a lot of crashes. It really needs to be fixed
I trial every season its the only way to move forward. The stallions that do well in the ck need to be given the most mares. More importantly the stallions that produce the best ck horses need to be giving the most mares. I trial every season its the only way to progress quickly else you could play a huge amount of seasons and not progress at all

I tend to trails multiple times a season some seasons. But mostly once a season, can't be stressed how important it is. This was why it was a major setback when I lost all my exported horses twice. It's tough starting again.

Re: Trials Day2
I back up every season into the cloud including the ttf which includes the exported horses, well I have been ever since I lost my game. Have had to revert twice when I have lost things since but the small amount of time it takes to back up makes it worthwhile

Re: Trials Day2
I think if you trial with very small fields you dont get genuine results same if you trial with 20 or more I trial once I have 16 built up per distance and try and replicate the league as much as possible

Re: Trials Day2
Ok have that the database file backed up for every season I back up everything in the saves folder except the fbr folder. the ttf file must be from when my other game changed from league to normal so have deleted it. So make sure you back up teh database file to keep your ck horses

Re: Trials Day2
I have been meaning to back up my Exports for ages now, keep forgetting. I'll sort that now while I'm waiting to use the CK, can't actually advance my game at the min as I have about 60 2yo's at their export stage.
While I agree trialing 5 or 6 horse races isn't representative, it does still give you an idea very early on of the horses that are definitely no good in the CK. I still do it at the very start, and anything that could be decent stays, the rest go. You quickly build up enough horses per distance, so the races then become a lot more use. Then you can start keeping your best 10 or so early on, an trial a horse against those as you get them.

Re: Trials Day2
Hey guys. I've copied all my exported league horses into separate folder. If my game did crash which folder would i put them back into once installed again?
What is the database file Leon? Have me a little scared with other peoples misfortunes.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Trials Day2
What the difference between between CK and Game!!!! The only thing I can think of is the Pace of the Races, in Game most races are run at a fast pace where I think in CK and League u get a even paced race and the speed of the races make a massive difference to the performance of the horses. I thought this for a long time but since SO5 we don't get to see the splits in the races in CK. God knows how my flat horses will do in these races because I put them in on game performances, I ran some trials this weekend but luckily the best horse i've got in CK is down to run ( give me a idea how good he is) and very luckily he's still in my breeding barn at 7 so i've still got 2 good years to bred to him.

Re: Trials Day2
I'd say it's a bit of pace, and the in game Race kit must just be a separate thing to the CK race kit (total guess and I've no idea why it would be).
I'd say a lot of the top trainers are also the ones who try to replicate the pace of the league races in their trials. It's tough to do, I always fail and end up with hold up horses.
