Hi All

I made my debut as a commentator in tonights races. My commentary is terrible, I know nothing about horse racing IRL, but I tried, and I would do it again to help out.

Don't be shy, give commentating a go, you can't be worse than me. If you don't give it a try, you could be stuck with me, the thought should send shivers down your spine.

We are at the end of week 9 with only 4 more weeks to go so it is only a short term committment to help until the end of the season. Who knows you might enjoy and be good at commentating.

What makes my debut even worse, the commentary is out of sync with my very first race, flat race 31.

I always enjoy Martin, Stu and Grays commentary but never analysed what they actually said. After listening to Gray in the races previous to mine and Martin in the next races I realised just how they went about commentating. Never too old to learn new tricks.

My fault I am afraid, my little boy has been very unwell and life has been kicking my ass, so race running has suffered. Should be better this week.

You did a great job Jim. I have put you in for Salisbury on day 1 and 3 and Ayr on day 2 this week.

And nobody wants to hear my Yorkshire tones unless it's some crap like skittles or you know Freddie Truman does tiddlywinks sort of stuff. I am not Freddie Truman class so forget it lol.
