After my first season, well quarter season and mopping up period in restricted ranks as I like to think of it, the restricted races have always been very restricted. Don`t care either! Don`t really think I should be playing there.

Don`t get me wrong though, the restricted races are brilliant for newcomers to take on the smaller trainers and a way for smaller trainers to gain some wins. When the prize money is raised toward the end of the season as I hope it will this season it is a way for up and coming trainers to gain a foothold in the trainer ranks and a nice boost towards the next season.

But surely Lami you are a well seasoned player with wins under your belt? Or am I mistaken?

No,only one winner and only joined league last year.

I dont get that much time to play the game with school and i dont just play for the league.

I think it is much better to enjoy the game and see what happens in the league and if i have a winner in the league i think it doesnt matter what race it is.

Is it still 3 runs to get into a handicap? didnt Rich change it to 2?
Surely it should be 2, we've only been playing for 3 weeks!!

If your horse has 2 runs at the distance in question then it is fine to enter at the moment.

In NHC, I will look at all the entries of the handicaps. If you want to run the risk of being scratched but feel you have a decent case then chuck it in.

There have been enough races to get a handicap mark if you uploaded at the start but I want to be flexible as well.

There were plenty maidens available in the first 3 weeks, but trainers who have uploaded horses that like the same distance have struggled to get 3 runs into there horse, for example if a trainers has 4 3yo 12f horses they not going to get 3 runs into them by week 4, each week 2 or 3 of them won't have a suitable race, trainers need to watch what they are uploading, Scatters who is leading the championship has a good spread of distances in his stable, trainers could use this as a template for there stable.

Just reading this... My interpretation, if your horse has only run twice in total but at the same distance then it qualifies for handicap, if it has run 3 times in total at any distances it qualifies for handicap.
