Post How to be competitive next season ????
I need some advise

I have read a lot of posts for new trainers, but still don't seem to be competitive.

I am not expecting people to give me their hidden secrets but could someone please help me with the following questions

- I have read that it is not what the horse does in the game but what it does in the race builder.
Therefore should you trial every horse you come across?
even if it can only win sellers or can't win?
- If this is not true how do you pick out those ones that should be trialled?

Any help would be grateful

This is what i would do if i was you if you want to be competitive in league (NOTE THAT THIS WILL TAKE TIME):

Go to auction every day on a few different games buying any horses with decent form (do this for as many seasons as it takes to get good pool of horses). The tricky part is assessing whether they are any good or not - as has been raised before, some trainers trial each others horses. another way u cud do this is to look at the league times at each track you trial and keep those horses which are not way off those times. NB - put a pacemaker in your trials!!

Any horses that are good put into the TRANSFER POOL. When you collect a few good ones at a wide range of distances then put them all into a new game and away u go with ur breeding. Note here that in your ck at the beginning the fillies will be much worse than the colts (game horses that is). Also when breeding at beginning always look at the non-owned horses in the barn and particularly for any which look like they were superstars in their racing career. they can potentially boost your bloodlines!!!

Good luck getting started!!!
