Post New Flat Schedule First Draft Now Available
Hi All,

Over the next few days I will be updating and eventually completing the flat schedule.

This is a first draft, a few tweaks are needed and quite a few races still need naming.

http://www.thehorseracingsociety.com/so ... tures.html

Take a look and let me know what your impression of the fixture list is.

Any problems let me know.

I have made a few changes to the age range so that older horses and three year olds are mainly separated at the start of the season.

After Ascot week the two ages mix, I think this keeps interest alive as the best three year olds come up against the best older horses, for the first time.

Anyone wanting to sponsor a race/series of races let me which ones and I will see what I can do.

I will need the week and race number/s

All weeks are available to view.

Note:
There are only 24 races in the first two weeks, which provides flexibility for div 2 races to be added if numbers are too large.
This rises to 30-35 races from week three onwards.

Note:
The races saying "Slot Available" will be filled once I have looked at the whole schedule - some race types may need a top up.

Previously requested race sponsorship will be added today.

Steve

Will need to look at the overall schedule to fill in available slots - it may be that one particular part of the schedule is a bit light. Will probably be some sort of handicap I would imagine.

Temple Stakes is in that week for 5f 3YO classy types.
Week four has group race for 5f 4+.

Name looks good so should be able to fit that in somewhere Mike.

How long will it take Rich to add all this to TOM? Looks like a big job!

Will have look at series Adam - don't think it will be for 80-110 as most of these are already named. Might be 70-100.

Big job for someone no doubt about that.

There is a possibility of uploading a spreadsheet directly into TOM...

I have not tried it before

Some horses clearly have a preference for dirt surfaces. Apart from the maidens and a few races in week 3 there is nothing else until the last week, which are all group races in Dubai. A small sprinkling of Dirt races through the season here and there would be nice. Would this be a problem?

The problem is I have to fit in the well recognised races. Doesn't leave much scope for dirt races, barring some low class handicaps.

If you have any suggestions .........

Oh wait, i see there are races at Kempton and Lingfield in week4, but they are down as turf races, but these courses only have all-weather tracks in the game.

Yeah sure, a few low grade hcaps woulnt go amiss i suppose.

I wouldnt mind a few dirt track races each week as most of my horses prefer the dirt. I had a full stable in the USA league last year and Scatters horses would like the dirt too
