Post A few Questions
I'm not sure how the new uploads work for next season....

1) What if I decide to reupload my horse Riverlark as a 4yo? Do I set her rating back to 80? or do I set her rating from last year's rating?

2) she's not a maiden anymore but since this is a new year, does that mean I have to re-enter her in maiden races to get a new rating?

3) if I decide to enter a horse in the NHC that ran last year in USRA, do I reset the rating to 100? If that horse won in USRA, does the win count in NHC so that I cant enter maidens?

I will try and answer with accuracy

1.Your horse will start with same rating as a new upload

2.It will be classed as un-raced and have to race in maidens

3.I believe it still has to have aged at least 1 year but again will be classed as un-raced

Hi Westy,

Not very realistic if you ask me. I have 2yo's that are G1 winners and they are going to race in maidens as 3yo's?? Its not fair to the maiden runners in the new season. My horses need to be excluded or burdened with the weight they deserve. Otherwise they will have a clear advantage in maidens. Just my 2 cents.

Rich can we please get clarification on this?

Cheers Westy

Yes l totally agree Scatters mate, l just dont think TOM is able to deal with things like this yet, lm sure in the future it wil be implemented but as in previous seasons its very few horses that actually stay in the game as by new season starts most have found better horses.

you are wrong mike

a horse returning to league a year older which has won a race CANNOT enter maidens

I have returned a horse to league a year on and hooley did it with sandra bullock this year and they cannot run in maidens - this is true for nhc so i assume it will be same for flat aswell.

Thunder - riverlark will return as 4yo with rating he finished last season with and will not be eligibile for maidens.

as for sending horse to nhc, ive never done it with a horse thats won on flat but i imagine tom will recognise a victory and make that horse ineligible!!!maybe not tho but i am certain about the riverlark query

the usra horse going to nhc - jut put hcap and chase ratings to 100

Your TOM record is retained but G1 penalties etc. aren't (and there is no way of adding a G1 penalty in the kit unfortunately).

Thunderspark, your horse will start 80 rated (but I'm sure Steve will factor in previous race records for the handicapping purposes).

A UKRA winner is certainly eligible for NHC maidens.

Just to add to the questions.......

If I had a two year old that run in the UK flat last year and is now a decent 2m Hurdler at 6 can he/she be uploaded into the NHC ?

Thanx for all the replies.

Now I have to decide if I should bother re-uploading her as a G1 winner, her first race would be week 7. I could just upload another horse and maybe win some maidens/Listed/G3s before week 7.
