If TOM is not going to be available and we (meaning the community) decide to go with manual, I have put together a few web pages that could hold stable information.

http://www.thehorseracingsociety.com/st ... eague.html

Obviously there would have to be time flexibility built in, but it could work out.

TOM has a lot of information that isn't essential to the running of the league.

So if we kept it down to a minimum it would be okay.

Volunteers would be needed to run races and maybe a few other tasks.

A template could be made available for players to record their own horse information. This task would be impossible to do manually by a few volunteers.

Obviously this would only be a temporary arrangement until TOM is ready.

But if we all muck in at least we could run one season.

Positive thoughts would be appreciated. Be negative/criticise if you want.

My only input would be the website.

Steve

You can now click on the 2 year old Tail Of The Bank in David Robertson stable page to view the individual horse template. This will be made available as a download. It has been created on Excel 2010. There is another one for fillies which has different colouring. Obviously it can be adapted if required.

As stated before players would be responsible for updating their own horse records if they wanted to.

Thanks for your input. Now if you could step aside and let other members have their say, that would be great.

Btw after your outburst on the other thread, should you really be a moderator on this forum - you seem to be losing the plot.

For your information there are a great deal of people unhappy with the league at the moment.

All I am doing is putting forward some suggestions for the running of what is a community league.

Suggestions that have been turned down by the president!! So why is it that that answer is no good for you? Its not our league, we dont own any part of it we just take part. For once in your life take the presidents answer and leave it at that. I believe everyone would vote not to have a seperate run away league, this would end the online league in my opinion but still you try

Like I said step aside and let other people have their say.

Good lad.

Btw.

I'm not proposing a new league, just some ideas to get the existing one in motion. Hope this clarifies the situation for you.

If you are so confident that players don't want a manually run league why don't you or the president put up a poll asking them their opinions.

If the poll is for a 'wait for TOM majority' then I will accept the situation.

But you won't do that will you.

Something like this would suffice:

Do you want to wait for TOM or have this seasons races run manually.

1. TOM

2. Manually

That is because people dont understand how much work or how much time is required to run the league manually, Scatters tried it and was surprised at the time needed (from what he has posted). Your constant stirring of the situation is annoying, you dont even enter horses in the league so why are you so bothered and intent on causing problems for Rich?

hes talking to steve

as for the idea - i think its decent and if a season was to be run manually then i think this would work well.

like westy said tho, it has been decided that the website will be waited for rather than run a season manually. so although i think it was a little harsh because steve was just suggesting a plausible way of running it manually, i agree that we r going to have to stick by the decision of the president
