In real life starspangledbanner is noted as a sprinter but in Australia has won the prestigious G1 guineas event at Caulfield over 1600m. So the distance does suit. That race was the best race of the week.Winner looks like a really decent horse. My Jazz star came there on the bridle and even led for a split second and Starspangledbanner went away again. That race is well worth a watch again. Jazz Star will be tough to beat in a handicap over 7f next week. |
