Post NH - Week 9 Races (Cheltenham Festival)
Rich is away over the next couple of days so has asked me to post the races in his absence.

I've done around 15-16 comms for the Cheltenham Festival and I believe Pepsiboy has done a few more but I haven't received them from Rich, so I guess they'll be added over the weekend.

Enjoy Festival week.

Look forward to hearing peoples thoughts
:D

ERIC KELLY!

What a performance!
Hemsworth Star was a shade unlucky though.

State Elegant (1st). What a race to open up this seasons Cheltenham Festival!! Very pleased with this win. So happy to have a G1 winner over 2mH, she found the improvement neccesary on this ground. Great battle with Jamie's horse to the line.
Brave Echo (2nd). Excellent effort this week, if not the mistake she would have gone very close. Congrats Scatters.
Active Duty (4th). Well handicapped to win this race here, but the jockey thought otherwise. Giving her a mountain to do.
Japanese (3rd). Had a feeling he would be in the first 4 home here. Congrats Thunder
Hoop Fire (1st). Incredible win off 11st5lbs and to win going away. My stayers this season are Top Class. I've got even better ones in my CK at the moment.
Clear Mura (2nd). Fine effort this week, taking them all along and staying on again in the final furlong. Hooley horse was just to good today, congrats mate.
Pink Magic (2nd). Solid run giving the winner nearly a stone. Will go to Aintree next week for the Melling Chase. Congrats Westy
J T Morgan (2nd). Another very well handicapped horse this week, just found the Hooley horse better handicapped. Congrats mate.
Miss Attitude (1st). Very classy staying mare, who's just taken time to come to hand over the season. Will go for the Scottish National next.
Editorial Rush (BD). Gutted!! Think the only horse to have been brought down all season. Not sure the horse who fell should have even been in the race off 93. Some 50lbs shy of the standard mark for this type of race.
Maeglin Ancalime (1st). All eyes was on this Superstar Chaser this week and whether he could keep his unbeaten record intact. I was very nervous, he just doesn't bounce on this ground at all, but his pure class won it for me. My best horse i've ever had in the league. Will probably have one more race at Aintree in the Totesport Bowl Chase then that's it.
Likeabatoutofhell (3rd). Made a mistake at the worst possible moment when cruising 3f out. That knocked the stuffings out of him. Still ran a great race to finish 3rd.
Jack Mor (1st). What a race, the ground nearly cost me it here. But he showed real battling qualities to just get up on the line.
Shabra Hill (11th). Never really had a chance over this trip and weight. His jumping this season has been shocking to say the least.
Skinkeyz (2nd). One of my bankers of the meeting  The only excuse i have is it had to be the ground, he trails well just not well enough. Congrats Rich super Mare you have there.
Borget Poker (8th) . Just no pace in the race at all, the jockeys wore playing musical chairs throughout the race. Congrats Jamie, for me one of the best 3m Hurdlers the league has seen.
Aurora County (11th). To much weight and shouldn't have raced her this week.
I Kick Ass (1st). The stable really fancied him for this race this week. Though the ground was a little quick, he just has a nack for this track and distance. Really wanted a second win in this race :)
Moujik Poker (5th). Never got into the race at any time, my 3m Hurdlers this season are shite.
Hemsworth Star (3rd). Jockey was found to have Illegal Substances in his system after this race. I wanted a test cos no jockey leaves his move that late in this race. What a doughnut!! Gutted tbh, i thought she was pulled up in the straight, she was that far behind. She made up around 8L in total, which is unreal considering where she was. Just wasn't ment to be  Big Congrats Jimmy, your horse was in the perfect place throughout the race.
Cookie Crumbles (F). Very strongly fancied to win this here, really have had some bad luck with this mare over the season. Real shame for the owners.
What A Charm (2nd). Cracking run this week, giving the winner 8lbs and only just losing out. Should do even better at Aintree and Punchestown.

Another Excellent Cheltenham Festival for my stable. Top Trainer again :D with 6 winners, 6 seconds and a bunch of other good efforts.

Been some cracking races this week, wouldn;t expect anything else at Cheltenham.

Thanks rich, kenny and the comms guys. Loved the comms this week, really adds to the excitement.

Congrats to all the winners and place getters(specially Jimmy). This meeting is one of the hardest to get a win on the boards.

Cheers Jamie, im in the hotel but thought I'd jump on and say a big congrats to all the winners. Jamie in the World Hurdle where Pickpocket just didnt have the turn of foot, Jimmy in the Gold Cup with a real Cheltenham specialist but Hemsworth Star was given a hell of a lot to do. Valetta was a massive surprise and Carpe Diem was beaten by a stellar Scatters jumping round.

I had a fantastic Cheltenham :D

Ive never had a winner at the festival before, but this time I had FOUR!!!

Dirty Tango - Race 13 (first time a commentator has called home a winner of mine)
Hand Fever - Race 21 (2nd win on the trot for him)
Matty Full - Race 23 (2nd win of the season)
Square Mile - Race 26 (win at last after a few top 6 finishes)

I gonna open the bubbly now

Been looking at the times for both the 3m Hurdle races this week

World Hurdle - 6.25.73
Albert Barlett - 6.14.29

Over 10 seconds differents. Crazy how slow the WH race was ran, there was no pace in the race at all. Makes the win look even more impressive for Waabesh. Would have thought a quicker pace would have been to his advantage.

The world hurdle was a muddling race but I think the best horse won.
Rite of Yeats was a shade unlucky 2nd with a bad mistake 2 out.

Hemz next week at Aintree:

Maeglin Ancalime Vs Eric Kelly

Gonna be a cracking race!

You've got a beast in Maeglin Ancalime.

Gonna be epic!

Unbelievable, just unbelivable!!!

Never thought I would win 2 G1 races!!

Well done to all the winners and placers.

R2 Looking At You (1st) - to be honest didn't think it would win, thought for sure some other horse would close it down but it hung on :)

R4 Eagle Rock (11th) - totally outclassed.

R10 Golden Serenity (4th) - Outclassed but I think her best distance is 3800m so will try to place at 4000m and under.

R15 Redcraze (2nd) - nearly pulled it off but can't be disappointed with coming second to Jack Mor

R24 Galleon (1st) - How did it come back to win??? Carpe Diem was unlucky

Can someone tell me if I was lucky in my 2 G1 wins as I'm not a good judge of NHC racing?

Cheers all.
