think you will find that you are doing those times in the game & not in the ck

if you are doing them times in construction kit then you have some amazing horses

Those are some fast times PJ. I remember doing 57.5 -58.0 so that's faster than mine. But sadly my hard drive died recently and lost all my files. Not sure I can get a decent team for next season so your sprinters might be the ones to beat with Scatters also losing his game. I might still have a save file somewhere but not sure if I will enter next season and just wait for SO5.

This depends on track condition, I've had sprinters run 54 secs on hard track but ran terrible in Race Builder. The best way to really tell how fast yours are compared to league is run it in race builder.

will find where the standard times are on forum then post them here

when trialing your horse in race builder use settings and see how close you can get to the standard times
its really hard

COURSE ASCOT
GOING GOOD
CONDITIONS 3YO UP

Here is Scatters Guide to trialing horses for the league and standard times & Scatters is the champ so
you could not get a beter guide

1. Location is UK
2. Racecourse is Royal Ascot
3. Going is Good (important to note here is that your horse might be better over GF, GS, Soft or even Heavy going so don’t be discouraged!!!)
4. Age is always 3yo+ even if trailing 4yo+ horses because they will eventually meet the 3yo’s somewhere down the line so the weight needs to reflect that.
5. Sex is open company
6. Race type is G1 (because this is what I’m always aiming for)

I always use a pace maker in my time trials so these times reflect that. I trial several times to get an average as the wind factor plays a role in times so I try to get trials with no wind effect if possible. When trailing beyond 1600m the bends come into play so horses out wide are a little disadvantaged hence also why I trial a few times to get a better average. I never use more that 10 horses to try and minimise the effect on horses that are drawn out wide.
TIMES
1000m 5f – 57.5s to 57.0s
1200m 6f – 1.10.50s to 1.10.0s
1400m 7f – 1.23.80s to 1.23.30s
1600m 1m – 1.38.80s to 1.38.40s
2000m 1m2– 2.7.50s to 2.7.0s
2400m 1m4 – 2.33.50s to 2.33.0s
2800m 1m6 – 3.5.80s to 3.4.80s

personally Me (PJRhodes1970) I have been trying for past 4 or 5 months to get near all these times
I can tell you I have put a lot of work in and it has been really hard to get near them
but don’t be disheartened if you get nowhere near them I had a poor team last season but still
won 4 races in lge and those horses were nowhere near standard times and i mean nowhere near

thats a realy good start mate keep it going your times will come down fraction by fraction but you do get there

for the lge breeding is everything you have to become really harsh with your horses
i have a horse now at each distance that has fairly good time a standard bearer so i play one season with new horses then export horses
i think are good enough i then trail them against my decent horses if they dont get near those horses in trial
i sell them in the game as you can waste alot of time on horses that just are never going to be good enough

its all about evoloution finding 1 beter then the current 1 and doing this has worked for me have been able to rush
through lots of seasons i also cross btween games to find different breeding lines which really has paid off.

i have had problems though where the breeding goes bad and also where a horse keeps producing horses that stay further then there breeding eg 1mile stallion covers 1mile mare and they keep producing 1m1f horses which is a real pain

anyway hope this helps new trainers to the league & gives you an idea on trialing and breeding for the lge good luck
