Post Re: THE PAUL MOORES NHC CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE
STANDINGS AFTER WEEK 3

A really poor week for The Duke and Midnight Valley Stables with not one winner in the NHC this week, allowed Hemsworth Town Stables and Craig Allen back into the tussle for top honours in the competition, and he duly obliged with three valuable winners this week. In doing so the lead at the top of the table has now been cut down to just 5 points, with a yawning 36pts gap back to Davy Robertson and Timmergreens Stables back in third on 111 points.

As far as Week 3 went, Timmergreens topped the week with (48) points, but it was very tight at the top of the charts. With just two points separating the top four point earners this week; Donny Stables (47), Hemsworth Town (46), Karoo (46) but the honours for most winners trained this week goes to Leon van Rensburg and Karoo Stables with a 5 winner haul, owed much to the monsoon like conditions that descended upon Week 3.

After a string of placed efforts in Week 2, Kevin Meenaghan and his Anything But Perfect Stables bagged up three winners this week to open his account for the season, and in the process secured another (43) point haul for the yard.

A special mention this week goes to Grayham Clutterbuck who secured two winners this week for Pontypool Racing; as Stillhaventfound and Grand Theft Auto both did the business towards the end of the card.

BONUS RACES WEEK 3 ROUNDUP
This week saw the first two bonus races of the competition, and those went to firstly CRAP BEETLE from Timmergreens who bagged up the Badger Ales Trophy off a big weight with an attacking display of fencing, and now is eligible for further bonus points should she pick up a further bonus race throughout the season.

The second bonus race went to PARIS for Karoo Stables, and after looking like she'd gone for home too soon as Bonnie Belle went by, she came back with a strong effort late in the day to land the extra bonus points for her stable - she too qualifies for a further bonus should she pick up another bonus race in the future.

CHAMPION CROWNS WEEK 3 ROUNDUP
Week 3 saw the start of the Champion Bumper Champion Crown and the Staying Hurdler Champion Crown. The first prize went to Reddis Park as their four-year-old filly ANALON benefited from an attacking ride, and won with some authority at the line, and will now look to continue her pursuit of the championship by lining up in Week 5 in the Champion Standard Open NHF Race.

The Staying Hurdler Champion Crown first leg went to WARRIOR for Slievenamon Stables, who battled out a thrilling finish to the John Smiths West Yorkshire Hurdle (to win it for the second year running for the stable). If he wishes to continue on his quest to land the crown, he will be lining up in the BGC Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot in Week 5.

BONUS RACES THIS WEEK
WK4 R12 - Aintree Juvenile Handicap Hurdle
WK4 R15 - Hennessy Gold Cup Handicap Chase

STANDINGS AFTER WEEK 4
Another solid week for Davy Robertson and his Timmergreens Stables, again notching (48) points, and bagged four winners amongst the haul. However he was outdone by Gregory Moore and his Faughanvale Flyer Stables which amassed (49) points for the week, and bagged an equal amount of 4 winners.

A special mention this week goes to Scott Cardoso and his SWC Racing who secured (36) points without saddling a single winner, and also to Mike Westwood who notched his first points of the season (10) saddling two winners.

Overall in the chase for the title The Duke and his Midnight Valley team still hold sway at the top, with a haul of 3 winners this week and extends his lead over Craig Allen and Hemsworth Town to 10 points, with Davy Robertson closing the gap in third to just 28 points (from 36).

In the race for the wooden spoon Liam Elvidge currently leads that at the bottom of the table with a solitary point so far.

BONUS RACES WEEK 4 ROUNDUP
The second week of Bonus races, and the first event went to Midnight Valley Stables as PROSPECT WORLD finally put it together on the racecourse, and ran out a convincing winner of the Aintree Juvenile Handicap Hurdle under Harry Skelton, despite getting tired in the closing stages.

The second bonus race of the week went to COUNTRY SQUIRE of Anything But Perfect Stables who followed up a fine second in last week's bonus race (Badger Ales Trophy) with a win here. He made a few errors throughout, and only just held off the late challenge of last years Gold Cup winner Eric Kelly but he remains well handicapped and earned more valuable points for his stable.

I had a winner last week (week 4) Jamie, but my total is showing as no winner on TOM and in your table :(
I got 14 pts this week, not 13. So I should be on 24 pts.

My stable is Seventeen Oaks.

My apologies, you should have 1 winner - I forgot to add it to the final table.

And yes, you have 14 points this week not 13, I colour coded it incorrectly. Thanks for clarifying!

STANDINGS AFTER WEEK 5
A week which was dominated by 'the big two' stables in the league as Midnight Valley Stables continued their ruthless vein of form in the league so far adding another 7 winners to their totally, amassing another (72) points to add to their total. In second position this week was Hemsworth Town with 6 winners and (56) points, but the deficit at the top between the two stretches to 26 points.

Special mentions this week to David Hooley and Donny Stables who despite not getting a winning chalked up (30) points this week. Moliets Breeders who bagged their first winner ever in the online league, and also to Anadin who's La Zarzuela got their first winner of the season!

BONUS RACES WEEK 5 ROUNDUP
The first of the two bonus races this week went to Karoo Stables as PRESTIGIOUS absolutely bolted up in the London National Handicap Chase. Settled towards the rear early, she made ground to readily quicken past her field and won very easily at the end of her race. She picked up a very welcome 10 points for her stable!

The second bonus race was the December Gold Cup Handicap Chase, which went to SPECIAL DAY for Timmergreens Stables who put in a gritty display after taking the lead two furlongs from home. Donal Fahy got a tune out of the Davy Robertson trained mare, and she heads for the Victor Chandler Hurdle in Week 6 next.

CHAMPION CROWNS WEEK 5 ROUNDUP
The John Scatters trained ANALON successfully won the second leg of the Champion Bumper Crown with an exceptional performance to see off the Jamie Taylor trained Modern Soul (with 5.5L back to third). She now heads to the Cheltenham Bumper at Cheltenham Festival for the third leg of her defence!

The first leg of the Champion Chaser Crown went to the Midnight Valley trained HURRICANE SOUL who returned to winning ways after falling on her most recent start. She put in an imperious performance to run down Chosen One over the last flight, and quickened away in style to score a cosy victory. She now heads to the Dial A Bet Chase in Week 6, for the second leg of the crown.

The second leg of the Staying Hurdler Crown went to EIGHT STAR for Reddis Park and John Scatters, and his colt saw off the Slievenamon Stables trained Warrior who was looking to carry the sequence on to the holy grail here, but sadly failed.

The first leg of the National Chaser Crown went to PRESTIGIOUS for Karoo Stables who absolutely hacked up.

STANDINGS AFTER WEEK 6
First of all apologies for this being late, had quite a bit on the last week or two, hopefully will get up Week 7 Round-up online before Monday also all being well.

Another great week for the powerful Midnight Valley team who added another 7 winners to their total, now amassing a handsome (31) winner total for the season with just 6 weeks gone. A points haul of 58 for the week also extends the lead at the top of the table!

Other mentions this week to both Anything But Perfect (49) points, and Karoo (48) points and to Moliets Breeders who added another win to his tally which now stands at 2, and another solid points haul of 14.

BONUS RACES WEEK 6 ROUNDUP
The first of the two bonus races this week went to West Wood Stables as AMARILLYIA who secured the Victor Chandler handicap hurdle for her stable, giving them a much needed 10 points.

The second bonus race was the Coral Welsh National Handicap Chase, which went to LADY OF LEISURE for Pontypool Racing, and secured a big race success for her yard who have really come to hand in the last few weeks, securing some additional much needed points for her team.

Image
CHAMPION CROWNS WEEK 6 ROUNDUP
EVENS took the opening leg of the Juvenile Hurdle Champion Crown for Donny Stables, and will be bidding to extend that run with success in the JCB Triumph Hurdle in Week 9.

The Champion Hurdler Crown went to Midnight Valley Stables, who's PROSPECT PRINCE finally exacted revenge on fierce rival Union Rags, and in the process opened in his account in this championship series. He'll now bid to continue the streak with another success in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in Week 9.

The Champion Chaser Crown dream still stays alive with another impressive success from the mighty HURRICANE SOUL who come from absolute last to get up with a thrilling late effort. She will now head to Cheltenham looking to extend the streak to three-for-three taking in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

The first leg of the Staying Chaser Crown went to Midnight Valley again in a good week for the stable with CASUAL TRANSGRESSION doing the business in fine style in the King George. The next leg for this race is the Cheltenham Gold Cup in Week 9, and it remains to be seen if this likeable racemare can continue the run for glory!

WK7 R27 - Formula 1 Handicap Chase

CHAMPION CROWN RACES THIS WEEK
OHRacing Mares Crown
WK07 R04 - Warfield Mares Hurdle

Post Re: THE PAUL MOORES NHC CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE
STANDINGS AFTER WEEK 7
Back on schedule now after a busy period, and hopefully things will go smoothly from this point onwards....

Week 7 produced a massive week for Anything But Perfect Stables who racked up an impressive 6 wins on the week, massing a (48) point haul. However this total was bettered only by defending Champion Trainer Craig Allen and his Hemsworth Town who put forward (50) points, and 4 winners.

Hemsworth Town will be pleased at closing the points gap on Midnight Valley this week, but Jamie Taylor and his string put together 4 solid wins this week to maintain the 12 win advantage at the top of the table.

Elsewhere 2 winners and 19 points a piece on the week for both Hue Horses and La Zarzuela, and hopefully these two stables can kick on from here and inch their way up the league table.

Image

BONUS RACES WEEK 7 ROUNDUP
The first bonus race of Week 7 went to SWC Racing as ROCKSLIDE did the business under Jack Doyle to deny Amarillyia's attempt at doubling up in the bonus races, and getting the extra bonus prize!

The second bonus race went back with BLUE WHALE for Anything But Perfect Stables which rounded off a fantastic week for the stable. Fourth in the Castleford Handicap Chase last time out this was an improved performance by the four-year-old, and he'll be looking to improve off this effort.

Image
CHAMPION CROWNS WEEK 7 ROUNDUP
Just the one Champion Crown race this week, and it was the start of the OHRacing Mares Champion Crown, which went to the Gregory Moore trained LARGE BUILD who held off all challengers in style to win the Warfield Mares Hurdle for her Faughnvale Flyer stable. She now has the option of attempting to follow up in the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle but the worry is that trip may be a little on the short side for her.

BONUS RACES THIS WEEK
WK8 R04 - Totesport Trophy Handicap Hurdle
WK8 R14 - Racing Post Handicap Chase

CHAMPION CROWN RACES THIS WEEK
OHRacing Chaser Champion Crown
WK08 R08 - Betfair Ascot Chase
National Chaser Champion Crown
WK08 R20 - Midlands Grand National Handicap Chase
