Post 2m + Flat Question
I have a couple of horses that run from 2M up to 2.4F on the flat.

If the first race they run in is at 2.4 will I be able to drop them to 2M when the need arises or will this be classed as an infringement, being outside of the 1F either side rule ?

As you will all be aware my stables would not be challenging for any major honors  but would like to be able to enter some of these distances in the league.

Its only Blue sky and 24 degrees today .. Dam weather

I dont think you can do that mate. Is there not a 2m or 2m1 maiden the hoses can run in? What is its best trip, or is that your point?

Obviously its nothing to do with me but I have horses who dont stay 2m2, yet are my best at 2m, and others which need 2m4 but wont beat other horses at 2m2.

In the first two weeks of maidens there are races at 2m, 2m1, 2m2, 2m3 and 2m4. I think if you run them in two maidens and try different trips this might be ok? How many horses is it for?

I would only be entering 2 horses and I was hoping that I could cover the distances between 2 & 2.4 with these, neither are record breakers, but they are from my Jump game and can run reasonable times over these distances, I guess run one, first up at 2.1 thus covering 2 to 2.2 and the other at 2.3 which will cover the 2.4 part.

Thanks for your replies.

2m - 3:38
2m2 - 4:10
2m4 - 4:44

If thats any help

Not so sure about the flat mate, but over jumps you can do this.

If the horse was a true 2m4f type then it would be fine to run over 2m. But if it dies on its arse with 2f to go when racing 2m4f then that isn't really acceptable.
