Post Write Ups - National Hunt
Week 2 Mighty Boolaroo Stables Graded Race 2m Chase

Columbian Blue Encouraging bumper debut and will be thereabouts if transferring that form to fences.
Dancing Cop Outpaced and finished last on hurdles debut. This quick change to chasing unlikely to elicit the required improvement to feature.
Dark Craft Positives can be taken from her debut and stable form is encouraging. Could surprise.
Fairy Footsteps Fell early on debut and thrown in the deep end here. Unlikely to feature.
Firestorm Thrown in the deep end on debut. Yard has made a fine start to the season but seems better with stayers these days.
Fromourevidence Postive stable vibes not in evidence on his debut. No Chance.
Great City Stable is not to be underestimated and drops back in distance after a promising debut.
Happy Birthday May come on for debut and ground will suit better but its a tall ask to do it against this company.
Master Minded Just got up on debut but the field he beat was strong. Stable form is excellent and could easily go in again.
Moth Hill Sustained an injury on debut. Doubts about the stable form means he is best watched.
Sanctions Put in her place by Hurricane Soul and Master Minded seems to be held in higher regard by Jamie Taylors stable. More likely to place than win.
Security Issue Veteran trainer has issues with the ability of his horses. Likely to confirm his trainers opinions.
The Boolaroo Set pace on debut and a lot to find with Utah Saints.
Utah Saintz Won well enough on debut but the field did not look that strong.
Zone Blitz Switches to fences after hurdles debut and this is asking a lot from a 4 year old.

The race revolves around the incredible form of Jamie Taylor and his entry Master Minded will be very hard to beat. Dark Craft could spring a surprise and Utah Saintz won on debut but there are doubts about the strength of the field. Sanctions was a well beaten second behind Master Minded's stable mate and will struggle to win and Great City comes with a outside chance. Master Minded's biggest danger could be Columbian Blue who ran well on her bumper debut. The Robertson stable had many to choose from and this adds to the interest and Columbian Blue rates a each way danger to the likely favourite.
Selection. 1st Master Minded 2nd Columbian Blue 3rd Great City

Week 2 race 18 Bank Wensleydale Listed Race 3m1f

Andiamo Rock Likely Gold Cup entry from in form yard. Should run well on debut.
Blue Lake Most impressive on debut. Comes here with a strong chance.
Boilin Stable star but stable is off the boil and ground won't suit. No chance.
Ceatenango Promising debut for her German trainer. Switches to fences here and ground unsuitable. Likely to struggle.
Conversation Piece Highly impressive on debut over 2 furlongs further. The word from the stable is there are doubts about the distance.
Crap Beetle Stable form is good but thrown in the deep end here and stable seems in better form over shorter distances. Best watched.
Doncaster Star Likely to need further. Best watched on debut.
Eric Kelly Last years gold cup winner. Stable form is in doubt and may need the extra furlong but still has a huge chance.
For Mr Moore Switches to chasing on unsuitable ground. Unlikely to do it for his trainer or Mr Moore.
Free Beauty Veteran trainer has made his views clear about the quality of his stable. Maybe one for handicaps later in the season.
Hello Bud Down the field on debut and there are serious doubts about him getting the distance.
Horned Demon Ran well enough on debut but this step up in class demands more.
Shaamit Stable form is uninspiring and unlikely to feature.
Unwanted Attention Fell early on on debut for the champion trainer. Should be thereabouts with a clear round.
Zephyr Zombie Will have to improve her jumping to have any chance.

The race revolves around last years Gold Cup winner Eric Kelly. There are few questions which are causes for concern. Firstly is he as good as a 7 year old and his trainers poor form. Due to these reasons it may be best to look elsewhere. Andiamo Rock boasts a gold cup entry and Jamie Taylor's form his highly encouraging. Conversation Piece would have been a strong fancy but there are concerns over the distance from the Van Rensburg stable. Unwanted Attention hails from the champion trainers yard and should be thereabouts with a clear run. The selection however is Blue Lake who was most impressive on debut and could follow up here.

Selections 1st Blue Lake 2nd Andiamo Rock 3rd Conversation Piece

Excellent stuff Leon, not sure if Master Minded is better than Hurricane Soul, he is at this track but she trials poorly. Master Minded doesn't trial that great either so hoping his class will see him through, but wouldn't rule out your horse Sanctions.

Race 3 Dream Nothing Graded Race 2m7f

Astraralda Makes his debut and hails from the multiple champion trainers yard.
Bloated Fall on debut may have dented confidence. Could struggle.
Death To The Free Will be death to the trainer for misleading the public if this horse wins.
Dirty Tango Weakened on debut over shorter and there are doubts over the distance.
Doctor Fudge Weakened over further on debut. Drop in trip may suit.
Dothraki Just ran out of it over a furlong further when looking the likely winner. Drop in trip may be the answer.
Foot Steps In The Sea Seems held by Worth the Wait
Ice Queen No show on debut and the same is likely.
Island Storm Poor on debut and stable form is highly off-putting.
Lady Brave Likely to be suited by shorter and is best watched.
Watford Wire Faded on debut over fences and a switch to hurdles needs to spark an improvement for him to feature.
Worth The Wait Won well on debut over the distance.

Not the strongest of group 3's. Worth the Wait won well on debut and Astraralda comes from the champion trainers yard and could be anything. The selection however is Dothraki who tired late over a furlong further after looking the likely winner. This field is not as competitive even though its is a group 3 and the word from the stable is that on a line through Self Reflection he has the beating of Worth the Wait.

Selection 1st Dothraki 2nd Astraralda 3rd Worth the Wait

I will add more later on in the week. Want to leave some races for others for now.

My stable form is quite off putting. Hopefully this week the horses will run to there instructions. The same thing happened last season too in the first 2 weeks. Very strange. Eric Kelly could do with the run hehe.

Jumping Jenny (-) G Clutterbuck - Well down field chasing last time, giving hurdles a try
Let Love Shine (-) S M Fisher - Got to be favourite for this
Matroshline (-) Moliets Surfer - Newcomer, prefers firm going
Mighty Helios (-) Thunderspark - Finished good 2nd behind you know who last time, 2nd again

Race 12 Paddy Power Run Graded race 2m4f

Aquila Extremely well bred gelding held in high regard by his stable.
Damn Fool benefited from setting a slow pace on debut and the drop in trip is not ideal.
Dog And Bone Likely to ensure a genuine pace but the ground is too slow here.
Done N Dusted Very well bred individual and conditions ideal here. Stable form is a positive.
Gloria Jones There are doubts over her confidence after an injury picked up in her last race.
Great Endeavour Great things expected from him and won well on debut.
Mahon Unsuited by the slow pace on debut. The likely stronger pace and small field will suit well but may find the finish line coming too soon.
Nice Job Alice Faller on debut and pedigree suggests this is further than she wants.
Pour Le Moi Breeding indicates that this will be too far.
See Red Will be seeing the rear ends of many horses.
Thats Not It Well beaten by Great Endeavour on debut and the same is likely.
Way Ward Storm Another unsuited by the slow pace on debut. Will run well again but not sure if the drop in trip is ideal.

An interesting race and the presence of Dog and Bone will ensure that Damn Fool will not be able to dictate his own pace. Way ward storm and Mahon both should finish well but the drop in trip is not ideal for either. That's Not It was well beaten by the likely favourite Great Endeavour on her last run and Great Endeavour's main dangers may come from the unraced pair of Aquila and Done n Dusted and the market needs to be watched closely. Its always best to stick with stable form though and Great Endeavour is selected to go in again.

Selections 1st Great Endeavour 2nd Done n Dusted 3rd War Ward Storm

Race 25 Kauto Star Chase 3m

Aghiniyark Poor on debut and apparently jumping is an issue.
Calcutta Conditions ideal on debut and stable other runners over this distance have run ok.
Challenger Du Luc Vibes are positive for this well bred gelding on debut from in form yard
Coach Station Second behind the impressive Conservation Piece on debut. Breeding suggest 3 miles suits better.
Cola Diet No show on debut and this should be too far.
Halee River Needs further and ground won't suit
Hidden Stash Made late headway on debut which casts doubt about the distance. Ground unsuitable as well
King Of Venus Stable unconfident and one for handicaps further into the season.
Misteltoe Doubts about the trip and debut was uninspiring.
Northern Alliance Faller on debut and needs to be watched until stables form improves
Pythagore Won well on debut for the champion trainer and found an easy group 3 to progress further
Sliver Charm Stayed on well to win debut which bodes well for this step up in trip and in class
Stoater Ideal conditions for stable going well. Tough ask on debut though.

Not the strongest group 3 and Stoater, Calcutta and Challenger Du Luc must have chances on their debuts. Sliver Charm won well over shorter on his last start and Coach Station finished well over further. The likely winner is Pythagore though who won well enough on debut and whose trainer knows what is required to land these events.

Selections 1st Pythagore 2nd Challenger Du Luc 3rd Coach Station

Sorry Leon !!!

"Death To The Free Will be death to the trainer for misleading the public if this horse wins."

The trainer didn't mislead the public - this is one of the post week 1 horse uploads after the veteran trainer cycled through about 10 seasons on final upload day last Saturday. The trainer just failed to tell the public that this horse looked pretty damned good in the CK!!

If only the veteran trainer had put some more effort like this in he could have had a stable full of them. Silly veteran trainer....

....and God help you all in SO5 when he makes an effort again!!
