Ok after a 1/4 of the season past,

an update on my stable in the NHC, WK1- Bad, WK2- Bad WK3 - better, some improvement, WK4 the WORSE!

Shame, as last season had a few winners, but this year, with the improvement and increase of competition along with the return of some big name stables my horses have been found severely lacking

But well done to all winners and placers so far.... I will continue to wait for a winner!

A very mixed week for me this week. Most of my hurdlers ran decent races but my chasers were dreadful.

Big Bad (1st) loved the heavy going and had his race won a fair way out. Dumbo ran really well to snatch 2nd close home behind a v. impressive winner. Good runs also from Crazy Lady (4th), Gloria Jones (4th), Press Ganged (3rd) and Lucky Star (5th).

Country Squire (1st) won a very slowly run Hennessy which didn't suit although the slow pace probably inconvenienced most of the other runners as well. He jumped slowly at several fences and then tried to uproot the 2nd last when he had the race in the bag almost managing to grab defeat from the jaws of victory. Hopefully he won't run anywhere near that bad again. Peninsular (4th) ran well enough until his jumping problems resurfaced. All my other chasers ran and jumped badly and were struggling at least 4 furlongs out.
Atlantic Antic probably sums up how bad my chasers performed this week. She finished 3.5l in front of Didgeridoo (level weights) in a Gr2 in week 3 and this week finished 13l behind (conceding 4lbs).

I didn't have much luck in the tipping competition either napping Wassily Wotsitsname (sorry Jamie) who fell at the 2nd last when leading and my other selection was Wild Bill who jumped like his legs had been tied together and fell early.
