Ok, so I have wanted to get involved in the online league for ages, but I still cant work it out what the set up is..
Im registered on some SOPL site that never has anything new on it or SQL server issues, im registered on a TOM forum site, which has so many posts its like a maze. I am trying to find out whether there are seasons or dates when things get clearer but cant seeanything.

Question: Imagine ive been playing Starters Orders for ages, and you say "Ooo join the online league". I respond "OK...how?"

Im still on SO4 so obviously need to update ASAP (can you transfer your SO4 saved game to SO5?).

What im confused about is this.....are there any dates set for the start of a new online league and is it all done via the SOPL site via ORLWorld.com?

If im registered for this site, SOPL and TOM, am I ready to go? Is it a case of waiting until admin has sorted the new regulations out etc?

You dont need to do anything except stick around here. Read some of the threads you see on this page and take a look at the opening post, by me, on the link Hemz has provided. That will help you with breeding, exporting and trialing in the race builder.


As for a start date announcements will be made here in this forum. Any other questions then please ask away.

No you cant transfer So4 to So5 and the new season will be So5 Only so4 as finished so if you want to join the next season of online league you will need so5.

Hey guys,

Finally converted to SO5. It was hard to leave my 30 year old stable from SO4, and i wept...... (no i didnt really).

Anyway, Im having issues with Artmoney. It wont work! Please dont give me a link to an old SO4 instruction because I could do it on SO4.

When i change the integer and save, it saves then flips back to the old sum. I go to SO5 and its not changed? Anyone else having this issue? Have they added an update to stop this?

But a lot of trainers would still win millions by gambling to speed the process up, I know I did.

Ive never bet on my horses.....is that the answer? Or are you betting on any race?

I think most people skip a few days and then look at the results. Try and find a big priced winner or two horses that pulled clear of the rest. Also make sure that nothing was injured or played up at the start. Now close the game without saving via task manager and then bet on horses which won by 3L+ and/or have a reverse forecast. Its worth doing this when starting out as you need the money to buy everything, increase feed and staff levels etc.

All sorted now. I developed a system....went to each meet, waited for hot favourite i.e. lower than 2-1 with 2nd favourite 5-1 or higher. Did max win stake. If it lost then the next race of the criteria id do 2x Max bet, if this lost 3x Max bet etc etc. Made 800,000 on the first week and 400,000 in the second......a few crazy 6x max bets worth a lot of money that had me sweating and a few bad runs but after a couple of game months I had £3m.
