Always trial at least 5 times over the same distance then which ever horses prove best over the 5 races goes into the online league pool same with chasers at least 5 times as you will get a dodgy jumper who may fall now and again but when it stands up could be a superstar.

Doesn't matter if you Flat Breed or Jump breed trial anything thats good in both codes as you might find a good jumper which could also be a good flat and vice versa.

Here is an old post with a few extra tips for NH trailing....

This is what i tend to find using a combined stable and over 100+ seasons of playing the NH game.

2mH/C - 5f-1m4f
2m2fH/C - 6f-1m4f
2m4fH/C - 7f-1m6f
2m6fH/C - 1m-2m
3mH/C - 1m2f- 2m
3m4f+ - 1m4f-2m
4m+ - 1m6f-2m4f

Make sure you trail a lot, i find NH trailing harder than Flat trailing. You tend to get so many mixed results.

Also another tip, if a horses prefered distance is 2m4f, trail them 2-4f up and down, you will be surprised at what u will find.

One of my League horses last season Super Satin was a 2m4f chaser in my game, he was poor at 2m4/2m6f, was getting out-paced all the time. I stepped him upto 3m+ and he was unreal at the time.

I cannot stress enough to keep a close eye on your trails.

It's not just the winner's but the ones who seem to fade when in contention, and the outpaced ones, step them up slightly or down.

Hope this helps

You do get the odd Gamebreds which are class. It's just finding them!!

Last post was a joke ^^^^ ^^^^ The game itself bores me to death.

It doesn't cater much for the league players. Just the same painstaking process has all the other previous games.

To be competitive in this league you seriously have to put the hour in. That i cannot do any more.

I will surely miss it. You are in for a treat if it's your first season been in the league.

You will love it am sure :)

Has for the leagues the jumps one is different class to the flat but that's my opinion. After this season if you are in both you will know which is best and the most enjoyable

My only advice to you has a (Newbie) is aim low and work from there. Then next season you can build your lines up to bigger n better things.

I sure had fun in S04 leagues. Some great rivalries, races and horses over the seasons.

Would have been great to have them in TOM but i think they are lost now.
