Re: optimum export time
I normally export them right at the begining of the season (for 3yo's & up). I might try and export at the end of the season now and see if they are any quicker!

Re: optimum export time
Takes two year olds 4-5 races to mature i.e. get to the stage where their potential bar doesn't continue to increase so I wouldn't export before 4 races have been run.
At three the stamina bar can increase and sometimes this takes quite a few runs. Have seen the stamina bar increase after 8 runs. Generally I run 5 races at 3 and then export. There are some I might run for a bit longer e.g. mile rated horses whose stamina bar remain at the minimum. Those I run through to Sept/Oct just in case it rises late. Then again I don't know if it makes a difference in CK when you export.

Re: optimum export time
The stamina bar does change at 3yo quite often. At the start of the season a horse who ends up a miler will be a 6f horses in the ck if you export before the stamina bar increases. I have had this a few times and for awhile had one horse who was very good at 6f and 1m. He'd be exported at the start of April and in August I think.

Re: optimum export time
i always export at royal ascot as i have noticed that paddock comment are nearly always "very fit raring to go"and if they improve with racing the end of the season but only on race days.i never export unless there is a positive comment from the paddock.
thats the way i do it.

Re: optimum export time
Interesting way to do it Jalupen and I'm going to try it . Sometimes you want to export when the stamina bar is low though even for a miler and have a sprinter instead.

Re: optimum export time
August 8th - always export in the summer in my view. Of course you can test it for consistency, just export the same horse each month and run them against each other in the CK, remember to rename each horse (just add the month of export on at the end), and change the handicap for each one so you know which is which when you get the result. You only need to do this for a few horses then you'll find the optimum export time for the game.
