How sad is Mullins for not letting the cameras film his workout's, I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of him and I hope all his horses lose at the festival.

I think personally there is still good value out there in some of the races, especially the E/W market.

A couple i fancy are:-

Triumph Hurdle - Top Notch 12/1 - been backed slightly over recent weeks. I thought he looked in good shape at Haydock last month, seemed to quicken up really well after the last. Unbeaten for a reason, although it can be argued he's not come up against any competiton which reflects in this price.

Ryanair Chase - Hidden Cyclone 16/1 - Gone under the radar i think in this one. Probably will shorten up a bit more now due to the Withdrawl of Cue Card, as well as Dynaste. Has decent form around Cheltenham, (which i think is key). And as the ground his drying out (talk of even watering) he has that in his favour too. Has an entry in the Champion Chase too but i think he needs longer so hopefully he'll go there. Also currently 12/1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, which is good value too.

Again as i stated above these are E/W horses that I think are in with a shout.

Now that the final declarations are being announced for the championship races, the excitement has raised to a higher level.
There are some cracking line-ups this year, it's going to be a good Festival I reckon. Bring it on!

I did a few ante-post bets on the first day which were Jollyallan (at 20-1, now 17-2) and Kitten Rock in the Champion Hurdle (at 40-1, now 25-1) as I felt they were good each way bets.
Douvan might be the weakest one, he's had a bit of an absence and needs to show he takes in the whole occasion.

Feeling hopeful that the two I'm on with against Mullins on day one will run into a place.

No they haven't. They are 6 day confirmations, but not declared runners. Declared 48 hours before the raceday.

“He goes for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and has been very good. The ground won’t be an issue for him either way. He just has lots of natural ability and has a fantastic temperament. We have always thought a lot of him from the very first time he worked here, but he just flew under the radar for a while. He is as nice a horse as we’ve ever had going to Cheltenham.”

This is what Mullins said about Douvan.

If I'm going to back Mullins then I think a Douvan+ Don Poli double. But then again I think Shaneshill is the best longshot in the first.

I'm :?
