York - Great value for money, especially for the Juddmonte/Ebor meeting. And a fair course that always has big fields in most races.

Newcastle - Sadly my local course is my least favourite, tickets prices are an absolute joke for the quality of racing that takes place there. Especially charging £35 + for the plate meeting to watch a 30 runner handicap.

Favourite racecourse is York, I live 5 minutes away from the front gates so it's practically on my doorstep and it always has great racing with the Dante and Ebor Festivals. There is a really good atmosphere at the big meetings.

Newbury - Always see top novices racing there. Always good quality racing.

Pontefract - always seems to be heavy ground and the draw baised is so bad.

Cheltenham is my favourite, just a magical place although far too busy at the festival. Prefer some of the quiter meetings like the Hunter chase evening in May, the view from the grandstand over the undulating track is great.

I don't really have a least favourite, I suppose in terms of facilities my local courses Worcester and Wolverhampton are quite limited.

Too many favouites; Cartmel, Goodwood, Perth and Id say Cheltenham too.

Least favourite is Brighton. Its a crap course, with poor facilities and dire racing.

Glad to hear your opinions! Do you think there should be more free racing or more reduced ticket prices?

I agree with York, Newcastle is a good racecourse and it's a bit unfair to say £35 for plate day is bad.. its the feature raceday of the year with good racing including a 20 runner handicap (not 30)
I understand what you are saying with racedays outside that race meeting, but with the racecourse grandstand being redeveloped and one stand being taken away with facilities being revamped you will find it a much better place.

Favourite - Hereford Small Course but spent plenty of time when living in Hereford and I am sure Racing will take place there again once the lease comes up in 2017 also my Local track Wincanton love it there would love to go to Cartmel looks a nice place to go Camping Aswell.

Least - Salisbury I don't know why really just when I was there Atmosphere was bad and racing wasn't that great.

Id highly recommend Cartmel. Its unique, picturesque and just a lovely old-fashioned racecourse.

As a RUK subscriber I get plenty of free race days, for example I can get into any midweek meeting shown on RUK over the next 2 months bar the festival for free with my badge. I also got a voucher through the post yesterday for 2 free tickets to Ludlow next week, They do look after their customers so can't complain.

I agree with Racing UK. Thank you for giving your opinion.
