Faydhan does a JFK
would not give up on either

UPDATE
John Gosden has ruled out the 2,000 Guineas for Faydhan after defeat in the Free Handicap

If He can get him right think Faydhan will be a big player come the St James Palace Stakes

Post Re: Flat discussion
Following the performance trainer John Gosden ruled out running the colt in the Classic. He said: "I'm very clear that he's a horse who doesn't have a racing brain yet, so he's not one that I've wanted to wind up at home.

"Nor did I want to see him jump out of the gate and race up with the pace. I wanted to see him settled out the back and run on. I was very aware that on fast ground with a tail wind they take some catching, but that was of no concern to me. I made it clear to the owner and jockey before the race that I just wanted to see the horse finish.

"I don't see him as a horse that wants to be bounced into the Guineas, but I see him as a lovely horse for Royal Ascot time. He'll tell us after his next work whether he's heading for the Jersey or heading for the St James's Palace, but I don't think it would be wise to be running in the Guineas. We can work him back in ten days and make the final decision, but my feeling is that I don't think he quite needs that at this stage of his career."

Fayhdan didnt look to quick there, really struggled for pace. Think it might have been the wrong decision to go over 7f alot of war front need a mile as 2yo's so youd think he had to go straight to a mile race but hopefully something comes to light after that..

I feel that Martyn Meade is going to have a good year, he's a trainer whom I am following with interest. He doesn't have many horses, but he is sending out winners ; nnotably a pretty impressive filly called Kurland at Newmarket today.
His stable star Irish Rookie could have a decent season too, she worked very well yesterday as a prep for the Guineas. Watch this space.

Anyone else think Hughes wasn't overly hard on twiggy wiggy. She wasn't beaten far and there wasn't much pushing on her there considering how much she lost by

Maybe but interesting Hughes was stood down rest of the day with flu. Shouldn't be riding if he's not fully fit to do so. Maybe that explains a lack of effort

While some others have had the reputation enhanced; I'm thinking, specifically, about the future Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winner.

You've got to love that colts attitude; he had his head down in determined fashioned once the winner went by him. He may not be as classy as the likes of Full Mast but that will to win will see him in the winners' enclosure more often than not.
