Post Re: Finally!
I would rather see him with prestige. I like that he is most likely going to Haskell (figured it since Dortmund going to LosAl Derby, a race I love, and he wouldn't miss the Haskell, and Zayat retweeted my tweet about going to the Haskell). Plus Frank Mirahmadi could call another American Pharoah race. Plus, I already bought my clubhouse box tickets (only like 5 boxes from the finish post, near the clubhouse turn) for the race so he better go! If the Mystic Lake Derby was a G2 (like the West Virginia Derby, I think... Maybe that's a grade 3... But same point) then I'd like it better. If he does scratch, I think Canterbury wouldn't drop the purse down cause that would be unfair to the other owners. But they are trying to push the race to a Grade 3 after this year by having it on Travers day instead of on some random day that would only attract Minnesota breds. But, small races are getting good fields. Ohio Derby at Thistledown is now at $500,000 purse and attracted Far Right, Tencendur, Mr. Z, Bodhisattva, and War Story. They may not be AP, but very good 3yos.

A few of my favorite races to win (outside the obvious) are the Haskell (and every Monmouth Park race), Woodbine Mile, Keeneland races, Belterra races (so nice there!), the Penn Mile (even when it wasn't graded), and the Calder (now GPW) races. And I love the Federico Tesio and Sir Barton ad he was one of my favorite breeders (and so influential) and Sir Barton is just an awesome TC winner.

Post Re: Finally!
I always send my best 3yo to the Travers, so the Jim Dandy is usually the race I use as a prep. My second best 3yo goes to the Haskell then the Pacific Classic most likely (although 2 million sounds perfect so maybe Canterbury is my new start lol). My best filly goes for all the major NY filly races, and if really good enough, the Woodward. One race I love to win is the BC Distaff. I've won it 10 times in a row with 4 different horses in one save, each completing the Triple Tiara (all of them) each time they were 3yos. My fillies are always my best, and dominate. One went on to win two Dubai World Cups and a BC Classic too.
