Post Geelong Cup
Tomorrow the Geelong Cup will be run. A huge prep for the Melbourne Cup. Australian racing usually features large fields and this race is no exception. The speed map shows the race should favor speed types. Here goes..

De Little Engine - Going with Damien Oliver's ride again this week. The stats show he strikes at a 26% clip at Geelong. A huge strike rate that towers over the rest of the jocks. He is also one of the best jockeys in the world. The horse appears to have been given two preps for this and I expect him to be right there.

Quest For More - Does Roger Charlton ship horses long distances often? Don't think I've seen him in Australia before. The horse almost never runs a bad race but he does like to run second. The one to beat.

Dandino - I'm not one to take a 9yo in a major stakes but my affinity for Ben Melham in distance races makes me like this horse. Working into top form.

Crafty Cruiser - Another oldster in fine form. Melham's other ride if he wanted it.

Kapour - Looks like the last two races were preps for this.

Quest for More will do for me. Ran a great race to win the Northumberland Plate and then followed that up with a cracker at Goodwood where he was just denied, Certainly still improving.
