Lani will be going to the Kentucky Derby, and unlike many UAE Derby winners who come over for the Derby, Lani has the pedigree. A son of Tapit, this horse could take the Kentucky Derby for Japan. Going to be exciting to see this horse head to Churchill Downs in the 1st Saturday in May.

What a waste last year was, Shared Belief got injured Chrome also got injured- Beholder got injured before the Classic and that left us with what couldn't have been a outstanding classic instead was awful.

I've been mad for US racing since 2000 and it was the worst field out of all of them. Most of them had won G1 races but they weren't good group 1 horses. It's like Prince Bishop winning last year, he's a group 1 winner but he's not a group 1 horse.

The last real great Classic was Curlins winning in 2007, we had a couple of AW years but since it's gone back to dirt they have been average to poor. In The early years of this century we had some outstanding races but for some reason the race seems to have been at a end of a long year and lots of horses never make it. Lets hope Chrome makes it and Beholder comes back( her morning works been good since her comeback) and we get some good 3yo's.
