It's Back!! Season Two of the world famous Starters Orders Handicapping Championship is back for its second year, and will be starting up with the Dubai World Cup. Throughout the year, specific weekends will be selected as Championship weekends, where points can be earned by selected a horse to finish first, second, or third. Every competition gives you a chance to earn a bid for the Championship Series, held during Breeders' Cup Weekend. This year's Championship has been expanded to include more weekends, more races, and a better point system. Each weekend will give out a bid to the highest finisher, and there will be two wild card spots given out to the two highest cumulative points finishers who do not receive a bid. So playing in each set of races is important, even if you don't win, as the points do add up. All competitions will be done within this thread, instead of separate threads like last year (also, if someone could, please pin this post so we don't lose it). Below is the new point system as well as a list of the racing days that will be part of the series. Point System: Up to 10/1: 20 pts 1st, 10 pts 2nd, 5 pt 3rd 11/1 to 20/1: 22 pts 1st, 12 pts 2nd, 7 pts 3rd 21/1 to 30/1: 25 pts 1st, 15 pts 2nd, 10 pts 3rd 31/1 to 40/1: 27 pts 1st, 17 pts 2nd, 12 pts 3rd 41/1 and Up: 30 pts 1st, 20 pts 2nd, 15 pts 3rd All Odds are Inclusive... If In-Between, Odds Rounded Up, 5.5/1 to 6/1. The first slate of races are this weekend in the Dubai World Cup! 9 races on tap for this Saturday, with 6 G1s (7 if you count the Arabian race). Here are the races: -Dubai Kahayla Classic (Arabian) -Godolphin Mile -Dubai Gold Cup -UAE Derby -Al Quoz Sprint -Dubai Golden Shaheen -Dubai Turf -Dubai Sheema Classic -Dubai World Cup All picks must be in before first post (which is 3:45pm GST in Dubai).
