The Goodwood Cup now given G1 status & The Queens Vase given G2 status but now has the distance of 1 mile 6 furlongs. |

The Goodwood cup is a well deserved G1. Been one of the better staying races outside of the Ascot Gold Cup. Not sure about the Queens Vase over 14 furlongs though. I believe they already have a 3yo group race over 12f on the same day. |

I think they are trying to use it has a St.Leger Trial ya thats it it really should never have been downgraded in first place Yeah I can sort of understand it from that point, but it means in the space of 24 hours at the Royal meeting there are group races for 3yo at 10f, 12f and 14f, Seems a little like overkill to me. They should have kept the race at 2 miles. |
