Hi everyone i am new here but i thought i'd share my fancies for the upcoming royal meeting and the reasons behind them!

So i am going to kick this off with my fancy in the King Stand Stakes who is Lady Aurelia, I don't see many sprinters now a days with the sheer speed this filly has and with her weight allowence the rest are going to have to work thier socks off to get within a length off her let alone pass her, 2 Royal Ascot wins look to be very much on the cards (took her at 9/2)

In the Queen Mary stakes i can only have Happy Like A Fool, Reports suggest that this filly is a total freak and Wesley Ward has backed that up in no uncertain terms, Couple that with the fact the Wes has won this race 3 times then i am preety sure knowone will be a fool for backing this filly after the Queen Mary!!!! (took her at 5/2)

Moving onto the St James Palace Stakes and Churchill is all i see, He reminds me of See The Stars in the respect that he never puts in any overdue effort but will still win and i suppose in his own way he takes care of himself which some people crab him for because you will never see him win by 11 lengths but i love him, His main opponent is Barney Roy but if you take into account that rival had already raced before the 2,000 Guineas and didn't beat Churchill when Churchill was having his first run then Barney Roy doesn't have a prayer now that Churchill has had another run underneath his belt!! (got 5/4)

Next up is the Commonwealth Cup and Caravaggio is the clear choice, Head and shoulders above his generation he will be to good for this lot on route to the July cup where i would expect him to show the older horses what a real sprinter looks like!!!, He has a nuclear bomb under the bonnet and when it goes off special things happen (took Evens)

On to the Ascot Gold Cup and the order of the day will be St George, Knowone thinks this horse is a Yeats but he still is a horse with huge class compared to his rivals and has been geared towards this race just as the great Yeats was, (I took 6/4)

The Coronation Stakes is next up and Winter is a penalty kick for all the talk, She is the best 3yo miler for the fillies around and i am glad that i got 8/11 for her

If anyone has any opinions about these horses then feel free to comment,
Hopefully nothing goes ass over head but i am fairly happy with these horses so fingers crossed for what should be a fantastic week of racing!!!!

Lady Aurelia -

I can understand the hype considering her performance last year, but she's beaten very little so far, despite looking impressive when doing so. For me, MARSHA should be the clear favourite. Beating Mecca's Angel is some form line, and her performance last time out at Newmarket was stunning considering the penalty and that her trainer doesn't tend to be firing that early in the season.

Churchill -

I wouldn't put you off this one, but it's worth noting that Barney Roy has only had three career starts whereas Churchill has had eight. Barney Roy will have plenty of improvement left in him, and he ran a cracking race in the Guineas considering he had a nightmare run. He was keen at the start, he got knocked around, he had Heffernan deliberately cutting him up on Spirit of Valor, he nearly fell in the dip and bumped into Dream Castle. Churchill, meanwhile, had the race ran to suit and a perfect trip on the far-side rail which carries a track bias. I do think Churchill will win, but it wouldn't surprise me if Barney Roy reversed the form.

Carravagio -

Again, I wouldn't put you off him. My only concern is that he could bounce on his second start after so long off. I'll be taking BLUE POINT e/w, who on his most recent start set a new track record for 6 furlongs.

Order of St. George -

I'm not convinced by this horse; he certainly shouldn't be evens imo. I'll be taking SHEIKZAYEDROAD, who beat OOSG on Champions Day in October and was third in the race last year and is currently a gigantic price for a horse of his ability.

Winter -

The closest to a 'good thing' as you'll get at the meeting.

Reports suggest Caravaggio is working the house down on the gallops clocking times that are unheard of, I do hope this is fact because Britain has been itching for a stand alone sprinter for many a year now as has Ballydoyle!

Isn't it fantastic guys to have such an honest trainer like Wesley Ward over year after year?, When he tells anybody anything you know he means it 100%, He is sooooo bullish about many of his string this year at the Royal meeting but i detect supreme confidence around Lady Aurelia and Happy Like A Fool

He won well today. One tough horse who probably doesn't get the credit he deserves. Was only really the trip that put me off today.

I'm a big fan of John Gosden but what on earth was he thinking today running Jack Hobbs on that ground. It is most unlike him to show such a lack of judgement. I wonder if he was pressured into running by the owner?
I just hope it doesn't backfire and that's the last we see of the horse :( .

I fully expected it to be a non runner, was very surprised it ran. Funny things going on with Godolphin so maybe wasn't his decision.
