I've seen a couple of races up the straight now and I can't believe how much the jockeys let their horses leave their line and don't really attempt to straighten them up.

The general consensus of opinion seems to be that the ground is better on the stand side to middle so they are tacking over to be in the speedier group. Happens all the time over here, especially at the wider tracks. When they redesigned Ascot a few years ago it was supposed to stop it happening so much.
