He is without doubt the best hurdler for many a year, I fully believe he should be a 3 time champion hurdler by now if it hadn't been for some very bad luck, Some say he isn't a machine and is a horse who has beaten poor opposition but i can't believe that due to one piece of form at this year festival, Arctic Fire in the County Hurdle, When old form still produces winners then you know the monster thumping these horses is something special, I fully believe that if he is injury free this year then the Champion hurdle in March 2018 is all over but what do you folks think?????

he hasn't had a huge amount of racing for his age compared to Hurricane Fly or Istabraq, Maybe that will allow him to last longer!!

Buveur D'air looks quite special and i wouldn't be looking past him at the moment. Young, improving and touch wood injury free

With the greatest of respect Buvair D'air has only beaten some fairly poor hurdlers and hasn't come up against the likes of Faugheen which he is rated inferior, This sport is all about opinions though and hopefully they can both meet on a tuesday afternoon in March

I'm not getting away that Faugheen is a very good horse but considering his lengthy absence, i'd be much rather be supporting Buveur D'air. He can only beat what turns up and he did that easily, it doesn't matter how old MTOY is he isn't declining and has ran to a similar mark in all his champion hurdles. Also if i remember rightly, with Faugheen there were reports last year he wasn't working very well which might be a sign he is declining. Id much rather be supporting something with no doubts about him.
