Really happy the way James Doyle is going after the way Saeed Bin Suroor has treated him the last year. William Haggas really believing in him. Also is it just me or has Aiden O'Brien brought alot more horses over this season.

And Juddmonte sold the dam of Forever Together for 20,000 Guineas wow

Green Room now the dam of 3 G1 winners - Lord Shanakill, Together Forever & Forever Together

Green Room has now had 4 foals by Galileo all of them are fillies.

She has no 2 year old this year as she was given a break for a year.

Green Room gave birth to a Galileo filly foal in April and there is a Galileo Filly Yearling too which no doubt
will be at Ballydoyle next year.

That was my point; it's a Juddmonte family. Juddmonte also bred the 2nd dam, Chain Fern, who was responsible for Grade 1 heroine and sadly ill-fated Spanish Fern (Green Room's half-sister). Chain Fern is also a sister to the great Al Bahathri.

What a great ride today by James Doyle in the last race at Goodwood, just shows how much confidence he is riding with at the minute. He's shown this year that he's a top top jockey who is making Saeed Bin Suroor look a little silly. To be honest he's probably better off riding for William Haggas.

I don't know if anyone saw his comments, but what a breath of fresh air Martyn Meade is. One thing that really frustrates me at the moment is just how many weak Irish Group races there are. I don't understand why more big owners don't send horses over there.

With Calyx out for the season, Advertise looks the best two-year-old colt around. I don't see why he won't beat the Ballydoyle runner again. They were both on the wrong side at Ascot and Advertise came out on top with only one run to his name, as opposed to three, and he has since gone on to win a Group 2.

I can understand why the trainer would be so confident. He said himself that it might sound arrogant, but why not? Racing is monopolized by the big boys so when a smaller yard gets a good horse surely they are entitled to be excited? That's what I think, anyway.

Personally i dont mind anyone who shows confidence but to completely write off the opposition in the manor
he did was complete arrogance not just the Ballydoyle battalion as he termed it .

& of course you liked it Matt you have always been anti Ballydoyle any Ballydoyle bashing would be music to your
ears.

I respect no one more than John Gosden can you imagine him doing what Meade did but then again
he is a gentlemen & has class.

There must have been occasions were you have publicly dismissed the opposition against a Ballydoyle runner? Racing needs its characters. People are quick to moan that trainers never speak their mind and are reading from a script; at least Martyn Meade has said exactly how he feels.

Looking at the race, it's a good job Martyn Meade is so confident and is bringing his colt over because if he wasn't it would be another pointless Irish Group 1 contest.

I'm not a trainer Matt

You talk about weak Irish G1 races look at your some of your classics an some of your G1s if it was not for the participation of Ballydoyle
how weak would some of them be.

Maybe you want a English only Derby with 7 runners in it or and English only Oaks with 4 runners in it

So because you are a trainer you are supposed to keep your true opinion to yourself? What a boring sport racing has become. There should be a petition set up for Martyn Meade to lose his license for being so forthright in his views.

When did I say I wanted English only races? I'm not anti Irish so please get off that high horse. Listen, if you take pride in Ballydoyle winning a Group race when they train 80% of the field then you go for it.

Personally I'm not anti anything Matt I can appreciate good horses dont care who owns trains or rides them
for instance I really like Caylx and appreciate what a fantastic prospect he is and what a crying shame it is that
we wont get the chance to see him again this season what he did in the Coventry was exceptional for a horse with
very little experiance

hate only hurts the hater Matt

Mr Meade's latest comment now he is actually coming to the Curragh seems to have backed down a bit

"Any Group One is hugely tough, so I don't underestimate the task at all, but I think he's got every right to be there on
his past form.

"Obviously Mr O'Brien has got those four horses. I don't know much about them apart from Sergei Prokofiev, whom we
beat at Ascot. We've had a bit more experience with his race at Newmarket.

"I just hope we can hold him. That will be our main challenge, but Mrs (Jessica) Harrington's got one there too.

I just hope the Jessica Harrington runner doesn't box Advertise in at a crucial stage - that would be my worry :)

Calyx is the winner whatever happens.

So that's why Martyn Meade was so confident. Good on him. I don't mean to come across as arrogant or anything, but I think Calyx is a really nice colt ;)
