Yesterday the Aussie sprinting Champ decided he wasn't going to trial - two attempts and twice he refused to jump.
Cannot race until he jumps from the gates to the stewards satisfaction. Maybe he's had enough?

Everyone except the connections of Chautauqua can see this great horse has lost a step and has had enough. Give him the retirement he deserves.

I see the old guy got his wish. "I won't run. You can't me! I'll just sit here in the gate until you send me to the pasture to eat grass for the rest of my days."

Not many horses had the powerful late burst he had. He was a champ and will be remembered.
