That was good to see, I am not quite old enough for that however I do remember watching him run with distinction in the Grand National on more than one occasion.
I am a little bit surprised his name wasn't embargoed.

I was really lucky as I got into racing at a really early age watching it with my Dad. He used to take me to the races regularly (my first trip was to Wolverhampton at just a few months old in 1964 apparently). I count myself lucky to have seen some of the greats, both horses and jockeys, and that is why I probably look back through rose tinted glasses at times.

As for mane embargoes it is quite surprising the names that aren't protected. You can try it out here :

Midterm - Galileo x Midday - only beat one home on his Australian Debut In the Golden Mile at Bendigo

Clearly needed the run and the trip was far from ideal

I wonder if the tracks are still a little hard for these imports?
