Sorry everyone wasn't intending on it turning into a debate. Just wanted to change the style of the competition. The whole point of the stake aspect is that your never out of the competition, you can knock in a 20/1 winner and it puts your right back in the mix. So it'll be staying the way it is.

I'm intending on starting it this Saturday with the races getting announced Thursday.

Hope you all play..

If it's possible for you to post a link to the form guides on the Thursday then i will be in. Cheers.

PeterS94, I didn't mean to turn this thread or competition idea into a debate. I was just giving my opinion. I do apologise.

I know I'm in a very small minority and I know I will never convince people that the horses should come first - I have been in contact with various racing outlets, including broadcasters, to try and get them to tone down their betting coverage and focus more on the equine-side of things - and for all I know I'm up against it, I won't stop trying to make horses the focal point of the sport.

As your entitled to your opinion mate have no problem with it. Disappointed that you wont be playing but that's your views so fair enough.

Just a quick question to everyone, If a player starts late what sort of penalty do you think would be fair. - £50 / - £100 or higher?

Perhaps take the score of whoever is bottom of the table and add a small penalty accordingly.

Well....... perhaps I could give it a go. I will just be picking the horse; I won't be looking at any odds or gambling - so I'm not going against my principals or being a hypocrite.

I will say, I do have a young family so I might not always have the time to get online and post, but I'll try.

If somebody doesn't post for any reason you'll just stay the same. Unless there's another idea from anyone.
