41mm of rain has fallen at Flemington today (a bit under 2 inches) but the rain has gone and the track is now on the improve. I've stuck with Magic Circle. The best Aussie hope I think is 4yo Youngstar who has a lightweight but is untried at the trip but finished under a length 2nd to Winx two starts ago. I dare say a Euro 1st, 2nd and 3rd. |

I was on Avilius, but after Cliff broke down(poor guy) too away any hope of Avilius getting a chance. Was hard luck day on the punt, had a mystery trifecta, horses finishing, 2nd 3rd 4th 6th and 8th ! |

Had £10 on Cross Counter, second year in a row I’ve had the winner but a massive shame about Cliffsofmoher. Rest in peace, condolences go out to all those involved with the horse
