I prefer to see them ridden out because until they come off the bridle you don't know what they have in the engine. It would have been disappointing had he come off the bridle in such a weak G1.

I'd be extremely cautious about the data stuff that AOB goes on about. There have been many who set the sectionals alight and produced nothing on the racecourse.

I was told weeks ago that he is a machine and that his work at home is up
there with the best if not beter but you are right it was a very weak g1 the
time was good considering how he won

many things can go wrong between now and next year not the time to hype him up but fingers crossed that he becomes the horse that he could be

BUT such an exciting year ahead next year Maybe, wading, power, crusade, camelot, daddy long legs,
and theres more to come out yet

i always watch the criterium 1m2f g1 in france in november as that throws up a derby hopefull former winners include fame and gloty & recital

I don't get how you can say this when we've seen a horse twice surely we should wait to at least see if the form stacks up before proclaiming the next Sea Bird , Galileo whatever you want to call him we've been here so many times before with Goldophin Coolmoore and horses can have so much go wrong for them in such a short space of time. Lets just see what comes into The Derby you never no there might be a Lamterra horse(1 run in a madien wins the derby) or a french horse that comes to take this horse on or maybe this horse is the real deal you just can't be sure at this point. Very Impressive but don't over sell him before he's proven

Im not worried about how the form stacks up, Zip Top and Fencing are decent animals, Group 3, Group 2 at very best. Fencing may win a Derby trial next season at Lingfield or Chester but the form is irrelevant, I saw the class, you all saw the class, its a Group 1 engine of the highest order.

Camelot's name is on the Derby, just like New Approach's name was on it, just like Sea The Stars name was on it, its fate.

So it is written, so it shall be done.

Just like St Nicholas Abbey was fate? Like Rainbow View to become the filly double winner? Like Teofilo was the 2nd coming? The Wonderhorse Celtic Swing was such a certain winner of the 2000 G timeform even wrote it in there notes. A Lot changes in horse racing what happens if another horse comes along that is unknown as of now and shows more class? Its unknown until nearer the time if Camelot is the best derby prospect out there that's all i'm saying you never know.

Thats what im thinking PJ, Nijinsky style, it will be great if he does it and it probably wont be done again for a long time if ever, credit to Ballydoyle for going for it as the triple crown should still be the greatest achievement for any 3yo but unfortunately the Leger is not as valued as the other classics.

There is a video asking jockeys what horse they would have loved to sit on from any time in history, most of them said Frankel but when it came to Joseph Obrien I knew exactly who he was going to say, Nijinsky.

yes its a shame that the leger has no value now but i hope british racing will appreciate what a mamouth task the triple crown is and
give camelot the credit he would deserve if he does it (which he will)
this is a 1 time oppertunity and again if he does it Coolmore would not take it on again
fair play to the lads for taking the chance

John Magnier -- plenty of room the other side of the Njinsky statue for another one

3 days to go now!
I reckon if camelot can finish off the triple crown it will boost the appeal of the leger, it's just needed a high profile horse to win it for many years now and if he can do it people will realise tht winning the st leger won't reduce breeding appeal it will enhance it if the horse has already won over shorter distances eg 1m, 1m2 like Camelot has by showing the horse has the potential to stay if necessary.

TBH I thought from the start after he was a confirmed triple crown contender that he had to race on as a) running in the leger would seriously limit the other races he could run in and b) st nic should be going to stud so they wouldn't want them to be rivals great news for racing if what I suspected and what you said is true Paul!
