Post So You Think
Just wondering if anyone could give me an answer, what is likely to happen with SYT if he wins tonight- will he race for the rest of the season or is he likely to be retired in time for the Australian covering season?

That is what I suspected but I just wanted to see what other people thought. I have to say I hope he does stay in training as it is great having all these top class older horses around at the moment.

Very true, botti's horse and the 2 godolphin horses could be ones to watch for this season

No disgrace being beaten by Monterosso, I think he's better on grass.

He didn't run well in the classic on dirt either

Well he ran OK, and he ran fine here. He didn't run like a 2/1 shot but that SP was absolutely ridiculous. He's obviously a good horse because he is always there or thereabouts.

Yes he was 2nd in champion stakes and 4th in the arc as well

Yes we need all these top class older horses to keep staying in training, it's great!

Makes me wonder if he would have been worth more at stud had they left him in Australia with this mystical superhorse tag but untried against northern hemisphere opposition. Feel that he would have cleaned up most of the WFA Group 1's over here between 1 mile and 1 and a half miles.

Well he would have more breeding appeal over here in Europe than in Australia due to him being a middle distance horse, but people wouldn't believe he was any good until he has raced in Europe against tr best middle distance horses. If he came over here having won only Australian group 1s people would have been dubious.
