I forget how many Derby horses win the Guoneas by 5, there's been too many.

You're missing my point completely, but never mind. The only thing I commented about on your post was that they said he was a freak, and I commented that they also said that about So You Think, until they were proved wrong. I actually think there is a very good chance that Camelot will become a freak (he certainly looks like he will be a lot better than SYT), but I won't be 100% convinced of that until I've seen him in the Derby, as I actually wasn't as convinced as I expected to be today.

Also, your post doesn't really makes sense. If he was a freak, he would be doing things that very few had done before; not what many had done before.

You mean all the RP winners who went on to win the Guineas?

Yes, exactly. That's why I said in my previous post there's a good chance he will become a freak, but on his 2000 Guineas run alone, I am still not 100% convinced. I will be if he wins the Derby convincingly though :) I have nothing against Camelot whatsoever. We have been spoiled with outstanding 3yo flat champions in recent years with Sea The Stars and Frankel, and I have no objections at all to having another one this year! I just wasn't as convinced by his 2000 Guineas run as others seem to be - yes, he came from far back, but so did French Fifteen, and in the end Camelot had to be driven out to the line to win by a neck. It was a very good win, but not a brilliant one - Sea The Stars was also a Derby horse that won the Guineas, and his Guineas win was far more impressive than Camelot's. That said though, there is no doubt that Camelot will improve again for further, and I expect him to win the Derby and end the season as Europe's top 3yo.

Still wasn't worth backing at 2/1. I would have been logging it had I been on.

2/1 about the Champ against a weak Guineas field, cmon now

It wasn't that weak, I was worried about the French angle, experience and the ground were in their favour.

Didn't win like a 2/1 shot for sure.

Ok for a start & i dont like to say this because i dont like Coolmore but they have one of the best fillies this year in Maybe then they have Wading then from the rest theres Mashoora french filly Lyric of light theres Firdaws & Discourse.
It will be interesting to see these Fillies at a 1m against the Colts i just think the 3yo Colts are very poor this year except for Camalot & Power

Hurricane i think i was wrong its looks like the fillies are pants if Homecoming Queen wins the 1000

Homecoming Queen was the most impressive 1000 Guineas winners in years and years

A very impressive win and a vastly-improved filly, but the margin of her win was mainly thanks to a fantastic ride from Ryan Moore that caught all the others by surprise. If she meets some of those fillies again in the Irish 1000 Guineas or Coronation Stakes, I think it will be a lot closer!

Won't be 9 lengths next time, agreed, but what a performance today, it was never in doubt, great to watch.

Yes I was there watching them come towards us waiting for one of the big guns to make a move, and then she kept going. Amazing performance!
