Moscow Flyer was the best 2m chaser over the last 10 years. Master Minded had longer at the top but Moscow was unreal for two years.


I expect both of these to be far better than Master Minded and SS could be the highest rated 2m chaser ever?! I dont think SS has been hyped up or over talked, its easy to see he's the real deal. But at Sandown on soft it should be a really good race.

Nicholls just interviewed and said its a mamath task to beat SS and we may have to change our long term plans if we get our noses blooded today

This is where some international competition would be nice though, after that performance the 2m chase division much like the 3m hurdle division looks as good as wrapped up for the next 2 seasons right now, and whats going to limit tht horse is probably the opposition he faces, not himself- the same situation as frankel.

Well the champion chase seems to still be in murky waters, no one knows what's happening with flemenstar, not even his trainer who in one day told us he would still be aimed at the gold cup, would definitely be going for the queen mother and there hasn't been any decision on the future yet apart from the fact he's going to the Hennessy. Personally the only race I can see him going for is the champion chase as the Ryanair is a 'nothing' race to Peter casey and he's definitely not going to stay the GC distance. I'd love to see him race SS, might just be like sanctuaries all over again but could just give the big horse a race. I think the lexus gives an indicator to the GC and right now I'd have tidal bay, he's still improving and I suspect while Nicholls would love to go for the world hurdle with him the owner would like a crack at the GC seeing as he had ingles drever before, and when you think bobs worth, now favourite for the GC was getting 6lb off him in the Hennessy...
